55We had a great walk! I don’t think my dog has ever seen cows and steer before, that was new for him. I was a little unsure of where we could walk so I kept it short. I can’t wait to visit again!
55Murphy and I loved getting to walk your farm! Murphy especially loved watching the cows in the front pasture and getting to do some zoomies at the back of the property. We brought our long lead which always comes in handy giving Murphy more freedom to sniff. I especially appreciate you having the bottom lines on the fence not active as Murphy definitely got close a few times. And the map of the property was super helpful as well as the markings to make sure we stayed on your property! We did the whole loop, which is just over 1.5 miles and it was a really nice way to get him out for some sniffs and exercise while visiting family for the holiday. He went home fully enriched and took a nice nap!

“Since this is a working farm, you will likely see us working on the premises. However, it is very quiet here and unlikely to disrupt your visit. There will sometimes be an ATV or tractor visible in the center of the farm as we work. However, we will stay away from the exterior path during visits.”

Description

Enjoy the beauty of our 75 acre farm with your dog! Our walking path is approximately 6 ft wide and borders the exterior of our pasture-based farm. Most of the path has a 6 wire electric fence beside it for our cattle. There are two creeks with bridges that you can cross (with potential wet puddles). The entire farm is approximately a 35-40 minute walk depending on your pace, but you can always turn around for a shorter walk. Plenty of area for your dog to sniff and enjoy on a private walk! This sniffspot does require you to have your dog leashed at all times.

Uneven path: Just like a hike in the woods, our path is uneven and has bridges or footpaths you need to cross. Electric fence: We have a 6 wire electric fence around our farm adjacent to the walking path. The bottom wire is not shocking, but we cannot turn the fence off for your visit. The voltage is enough to hurt, but not harm a dog. We suggest keeping your dog and yourselves from touching it. This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water" We do not recommend that you allow your dogs to drink from our creek since we cannot guarantee the quality of the water. Large water filled wetlands: Sometimes our bridges may not be accessible through the wetlands because of standing water. Do not walk through high standing water above your shoes (only during flood events). Feel free to double back whenever you wish. Roadway: Path does go along roadway in the grass along the fence, however, you can always avoid the road by doubling back.
