55Lot lines are not clearly defined, but it was a beautiful place. Heavily wooded if you go off the trail, and the trail also isn't clearly marked. Highly recommended if you want a workout. Property is on the side of a large hillside.
55Beautiful spot, a nice woody hillside trail in a quiet place tucked behind some cabins. Didn't see anyone around and the trail is densely wooded enough that there is very low visibility of the surrounding properties. It's early spring when I'm writing this so the trees are all bald, but I imagine when their leaf coverage is full there would be no way to see through the forest, so it's perfect for distractable or reactive dogs. I have a sighthound mix so the low visibility is a godsend, I was able able to walk the trail with him off leash without issue. Only thing I can say is the trail is a bit hard to follow further up the hill. I honestly don't think I walked the full thing! We had a great time wandering around though, the trail was clean and pretty clear. We'll definitely be coming back!
55Beautiful wooded trail. Mostly uphill so was a good workout for us & our pup!
55The trail and parking were well marked and the woods were fun to explore. The view of Frederick was neat.
55The dogs loved exploring the trail, frolicking in the leaves and finding big sticks!
55Lovely little hike on a beautiful forested property, would love to come back sometime!
55Our pups loved Hillside. They spent the entire hour+ in the woods. Peaceful and full of sniffs.
55My dog and I had an amazing time walking/hiking through the woods on this beautiful January day. Hiking and walking on trails is one of my favorite activities, but with all the people and dogs that are on public trails, it is too much for my reactive guy. This was the most peaceful hike we have ever had!
55Perfect “sniff-spot” for our two Dutch Shepherds! Directions were provided and location was easy to find. Guest parking and trail head clearly labeled. Our family enjoyed some much needed “off-leash” time and will visit this location again!
55Nice private spot in the woods! Well signed and good directions from the owner. Would be a great spot for letting your dog explore off leash if they are able.

Description

We have 10 mostly wooded acres on the side of Braddock Mountain (right off Highway 70) at the end of a private road. There are also some open grassy areas around the house. 🌲 There is an unmaintained trail through the woods just beyond the driveway, indicated by a brown ‘Trail’ sign. PLEASE NOTE: The property overall is on a steep hill so it is best for those looking for a little more adventure. 🛑 We do not have any pets. You may occasionally see wildlife in the woods though so please beware and understand you are accepting all risks when you make a reservation with us. FULL DISCLOSURE: At times, we block our Sniffspot calendar to allow hunting on the property so there is always a possibility of finding animal remnants. ☝️ We approach Sniffspot as a ‘set it and forget it’ operation. Our goal is to share unused space with the community because we no longer have pets. We do not actively invest time and money into ‘perfecting’ our Spot or creating additional offerings like you may see with other Spots. 📧 You will receive a message from us a few hours before your visit with Wifi and other information. 🌎 We accept last minute bookings but please know that we travel often so you may visit at a time when we’ve been away and the grass may be longer than usual, or the garbage more full than usual. Thanks for understanding! Happy Sniffing!
