Perfect βsniff-spotβ for our two Dutch Shepherds! Directions were provided and location was easy to find. Guest parking and trail head clearly labeled. Our family enjoyed some much needed βoff-leashβ time and will visit this location again!

This βsniff spotβ was an amazing place to bring one of my German Shepherds to exploreβ¦ And itβs just 13 minutes from downtown Frederick. Iβm a local dog trainer living in the city, so finding a beautiful spot like this with a lot of space is so helpful for my dogsβ well being/longevity. Communication from the sniff spot owners was great as well! I will definitely be coming back again!

Great sniffspot ! Very clean and secluded. Well marked spots to park your car. Amazing host who is super responsive as this was a very last minute booking (thank you !!!! ). The trail is a little steep at the beginning ( we loved it though :) ) and lots of areas for your pup to sniff around. My dog thoroughly enjoyed the hike. Will be returning back again. Highly recommend!!

I so love this beautiful spot! Such a lovely trail, a bit challenging for me though. It shows that I need some cardio in my routine. I will surely be back. Thank you!!!!

Loved it. This spot is conveniently located right off 70. The trail is well maintained. Itβs a bit uphill, but manageable. We had to leave early because of 37 wk pregnant wife. Will definitely come back without herπ

I had a great time letting my reactive dog run around on the hill-y woods. Communication with the host, Cecelia, was great! She was helpful when I booked for the wrong date and accommodated us when we were late and let us stay a little longer.

Amazing Sniffspot, we would absolutely return. We parked at the entrance gate and walked up the driveway, easily took up the full hour. We saw deer and turkeys, Obi doesn't have a strong prey drive, but good to know if your dog does! Absolutely gorgeous and clean spot.

There are a variety of different spaces to explore hereβincluding woods, long driveway (gravel) and some spaces with tall grass. Our dogs have recall but are not always the best at listening. This was a great place to get some off leash and recall training. No distractions other than a few deer (and other little critters).

We had a wonderful time at this spot! Options to walk along trails, through the woods, or along the gravel driveway. Loads of space for our pups to explore and they left very happy and very tired!

Great place - you can walk thru the woods or stick to the long driveway. Plus our pup loved the stream.

Lovely property with plenty of room for exploring. I was late and the owners offered to let me stay my full time anyway which was very nice of them. We'll be back!

The host provided very detailed instructions on how to find the place, the boundaries, parking etc. And the place is exactly as described. Clean. My puppy had tons of fun running in the tall grass trying to find birds and we did little exploring in the woods. Going to be back again.

So much land to explore. We had fun during our visit. My dog got to meet the pigs for the first timeπ pigs were fenced in. Going back tomorrow!

Perfect place to let energetic dogs run freely and safely. The pigs provided some distraction but soon all our pups lost interest and spent most of the time running and playing. The best part is that they are sounds asleep in the car on the way home.

This was the perfect spot for my dog: lots of space, lots of different smells, a variety of terrainβ¦everything a dog needs to tire himself out! As other reviewers said, I think he could have watched the pigs the whole time, but he also had fun exploring. The hosts gave excellent directions and were very accommodating when I arrived late. Despite being 45 minutes away, I will be back!

We went for a little decompression walk after a vet visit, and enjoyed this nice little spot! We stuck to the driveway as I was not wearing the right shoes for the snow we got, but still had a nice reset.
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.

All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 0% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Frederick area are 5 stars.
