35This location was nice to visit because it was set up well. It is divided into two distinct areas. The first is fully fenced and offered a nice area for my dogs to move about freely off leash (they’re not the best at recall), and the second is a partially fenced trail/acreage that you can wander through. I had my dogs leashed through almost all of our hike in this section as this area is not fully fenced, as was indicated in the descriptors of the property. The walking trails were cut well so I wasn’t hiking through tall grasses etc and the area was pretty. However, there were several areas of the fence that had fallen over. This fence is pasture fence with the two top wires being barbed. I found that in the areas where the fence had tipped or fallen, grasses had grown and covered the fallen wires. My dogs like to explore and stepped in these grassy areas several times because the trails run adjacent to the fence. I would use caution around the fence line. Overall, I really enjoyed what the spot had to offer.
55Awesome spot! There’s about a mile of mowed grass trail and a lovely hill and bench in the center of it all. Theres a handful of gaps in the fence, but it does fully surround the property and natural barriers have filled in those gaps for the most part. My dog and I are avid hikers and we were able to get the whole 14 acres mapped out in an hour. The south side is bordered by a field, the northwestern portion is dense woodland without trails, but still super fun to explore! If your dog doesn’t have the best recall, I would be wary of gaps in the fences leading to the main area, but once you’re there, as long as your dog won’t bolt as far away from you as possible, it’s a great spot to visit. Lots of deer resting spots, rabbit holes, and other critters around, but we did not run into any directly. It can be a bit muddy, some thorny bushes and burrs, but the main area is lovely to let your pups run around.
