We were visiting Great Barrington for a few days and booked Jane’s nicely fenced in backyard so our 20 month old Catahoula mix could expel some of his abundant energy. He ran around for almost the full hour chasing his ball and frisbee, while we lounged in the sun on very comfortable cushioned chairs on an unseasonably chilly May day. We supplied our own water because we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the spigot. And as a previous reviewer pointed out, there is a wet area in the back with a mud puddle that Puppers drank from, which we had to shoo him away from. But no harm. We packed out our poop bag. I let Jane know that future visitors should be alerted that while her street is under construction it is closed. We drove up the next street over, hoping it connected, or that we could park and walk. Luckily it connected above the construction site. They are replacing the street. While leaving we had to wait while the bulldozers made way for us to drive over the dirt and gravel piles they were working on smoothing out in the connecting street. Jane was very responsive and lovely and apologized for forgetting to mention the construction. She invited us back when we visit anytime. With the caveats I mentioned, I’d recommend Jane’s sweet backyard.
Host replied: Hi Sarah, Thank you for your patience regarding the construction! I can’t believe I forgot to mention it!! I have too much going on lately. Hopefully, the new street will be completed by June 1st. Come again! ❤️
We had a wonderful litter reunion at Jane's Sniffspot and were honored to be one of her first groups of guests. Considering what an affordable service it is, I feel she really went all out, providing lots of water for both dogs and humans, poop bags, and a really sweet fully fenced large yard. I would definitely visit again!
Visitor's beware: there is some swampy ground in the fenced in area, so if it's been wet around your visit, definitely bring towels for the car seats. But the space was large and securely fenced: would love to see the front yard fenced off from the back since it can be a little nerve-wracking to not have eyes on your dog, but I can see how it's probably a fun racetrack for most dogs. Some poop around...shame on visitors who haven't picked it up.
Host replied: Thanks for your feedback. Hope you had fun. I will clean up the poop. And yes. Wet area in yard.
