Pups had a great time exploring the miles of trails. There were a group of ATV riders, but everyone was very nice and courteous.
Plenty of cleared area for pups to run and chase a ball without going into tall grass/weeds. Easy in and out.
It's a very nice property with great trails all around. It was a beautiful day when we were there, so there were lots of ATVs. People were nice, but I didn't feel comfortable taking my dog off the leash. Also, just so you know, you can hear a neighbor dog's high pitched bark. At first we couldn't tell where it was and were afraid of bumping into another dog on the trails, but as we left we could see it on a porch up the road, so no problem. I look forward to going back when the weather isn't so good, because I really want my dog to have a chance to be off leash. All in all a good experience.
Very beautiful, hard to tell where the property ends.. overall a nice experience for the dogs.
Great spot! Very quiet and peaceful. My dog loved sniffing all of the animal tracks and running along the trails. There are a couple of places that go right by the road—we didn’t have an issue and walked all of the trails including those areas, but they’re easy to avoid if you’re concerned. My dog found a coyote carcass in the middle of the property, so there’s definitely wildlife around! We didn’t run into any ATVs
This was my first time visiting a SniffSpot. It was wonderful. As other reviews have stated, there is a section of the atv paths that go near the road. But there are plenty of paths that don't go near the road too. I visited in the winter and didn't see another human or any animals. I did see plenty of deer tracks in the snow though. The majority of this SniffSpot is tree lined so my dogs naturally stayed within the boundary dispite there being no fence. I spent an hour here and there were plenty of paths to occupy that whole time without backtracking. I'll definitely be going back again.
My 2 dogs and I had a great time walking around the property. It was nice to walk off leash and not have to worry about other dogs. Only drawbacks were: 1. the porcupine we encountered in the first 5 minutes, luckily made it out with only 1 quill in the nose, but that isn’t the property owner’s fault 2. it was unclear where the property started/stopped, so I was a little weary walking around not sure where I could and couldn’t go 3. there were a bunch of old hamburgers/buns and chips thrown in the weeds that my dogs found. Overall great place, will definitely go back.
Beautiful area! There were ATVs when we visited and the people there were super friendly. Had a wonderful time and would come back again!
George's 40 Acre Unfenced Dog Park is a vast, tranquil space allowing a long walk my Australian Cattle Dog, Medika. Her recall is relaxed at this point, whereby "COME" is a suggestion in her highly independent assessment rather than a command. We begin training soon to correct this, but for now and moving forward this is an optimal setting for multiple reasons. Foremost, Medika can run, explore, dig & ramble to her heart's content. The entire area is interconnected trails, with wide open fields, a pond, tall grass, forest, hills & valleys throughout: a physical workout for you & your pup. One trail parallels briefly with the public road, but all other trails lead well inside the interior. No ATVs were present during our visit. For me, it was a quiet, meditative ramble well worth the drive from downtown Albany. A second visit is already booked: its a place we'll enjoy throughout the year!
Host replied: I’m glad you and your dog enjoyed it. Thank you
My dogs had a great time on the extensive trail system here!

Fully fenced in 1 acre property with large deck and seating. Gas fire pit.
Wooded area with lots of space for dogs to romp around. The area is pretty secluded and you may come across a deer or two. This property is my backyard, so if there are any issues I should be available. There are benches at the top of the hill that allow for beautiful views when the leaves aren’t in full force. The hill can be a bit steep at some areas. There’s a small stream and towels should your dog like to cool off.
We have 128 acres of woods pasture and active farm land available for you to explore with your dog ! If your interested in a off leash experience without worry we have a 2 acre spot for your four legged love to enjoy without the fear of a failed recall. We just ask you stay out of the cows pasture, barn , chicken coops and do not open any gates despite what the cows might tell you ;) Our beautiful working farm is a natural environment shared by abundant wildlife deer, herons, and wild turkeys who roam the property and potentially could access the fenced area. When our Sniffspot guests are not visiting the fenced area is home to our flock of sheep. They happily do the “mowing” for us so you may notice some spots where the field isn’t perfectly “mowed” or gifts they have left behind! With this please be mindful not to leave anything behind that may attract in wildlife or potentially harm our sheep! We thank you and look forward to your visit !
Bottomless Smells. 100 acre farm. Lots of space for your doggos and you to roam. It is a rustic magical place. Parking is far from the street down a gravel driveway. Safe for your pup and you to get out of the car. You can park anywhere. If you feel comfortable you can drive down to the lower field to get even further away from the road. I live down the street while I am fixing up the old house. So, there maybe someone at work in the house. Once you park, the best walking is down to the creek. Go to the lower field and look for the opening in the woods. 150yards from field is the creek. On a hot day, wear good creek shoes and walk up and down creek. If you cross the creek there is a great trail that circles around to the Powerline. Warnings: 1. there are lots of deer! 2. There are old barns. Do Not enter any of the buildings! They are very dangerous!!!! I have rescued reactive dogs. I want to create a safe space for your dogs and you to enjoy this great property.
The agility yard is a great way to give your pet physical and mental enrichment while strengthening the bond between you. Safety is paramount, so you’ll find our Agility Yard enclosed by a four-foot fence. However, if your dog happens to be an enthusiastic jumper, we recommend visiting the Athens Bunker Hill Dog Park, offering an open and adequately fenced space to accommodate their energy. While enjoying the Agility Yard, please note that there’s a road nearby. For your pet’s safety and the safety of others, keep your pet leashed when entering and exiting the yard. The road sees regular foot traffic, with people walking, dog-walking, and cycling. Passersby may pause to admire your training efforts. Respect for the environment is crucial—remember to CLEAN UP after your pet. Doggie bags are conveniently available on the fence, and you can dispose of waste in our designated garbage receptacle. If your pet happens to dig, please fill in any holes they create. To ensure everyone’s safety, please refrain from using any of the equipment; it’s exclusively for animals. We also emphasize the importance of gentle training methods—excessive force will not be tolerated. Most pets are eager learners, so patience is key. If you’re interested in learning effective training techniques, feel free to reach out for a quick lesson based on my experience with my own dogs. Above all, make training a positive and enjoyable experience for both you and your pet. Visiting our agility yard is a direct contribution to our nonprofit One Dog One World's mission. We sincerely appreciate your support. onedogoneworld.org
This is truly a private dog park! This fenced area is not connected to my house, nor is it visible from our house windows (only one bathroom window facing that way). It’s also not visible from the road or neighbors. For safety, there are double gates at the entrance. The area is mostly grassy except for a turf covered area that is prone to mud. Basic items are available like a dish for water, towels, a lawn chair, poop bags, a paw cleaner, long lines and a shovel to throw poo in the woods. Also, there are 2 trees for shade, a hose available, a sprinkler and 2 kiddie pools for your use. This area is used for my dog walking business a few hours per week but is available otherwise.
My yard is .75 acres and fenced in for free roaming range. If you live in a small area with no or small yard or simply hate taking the dog for a walk. Feel free to stop by my place for the perfect opportunity for your dog.
Shady trees and a serene fenced pond greet your private entry to a lush secret garden! Let your pups run under the shade, explore garden paths, and sniff to their hearts’ delight while you relax on the fully furnished patio and admire the best fauna and foliage upstate NY has to offer!
