55This was our second visit and it didn't disappoint. This spot is great for sniffing (so many things to see and sniff) and then to have the monster zoomies (a lot of space). Super secure fence. We heard some dogs bark nearby but no issue for us. Pretty sure this will become another one of our "oases" when we need a break from downtown living. And Melon's happy face says it all!
55Very pleasant. I normally go to larger unfenced areas but it was nice to be able to relax and not worry about my two dog's location. There was lots of stuff for them to sniff and whiff and plenty of room to run around. Very clean and a place for me to sit down.
55First time at this great spot. So much space for monster zoomies and so much to sniff! And that privacy fence is a reactive dog mom's dream! Melon spent most of her time sniffing all the things, and around 5% of her time on extreme zoomies. Totally why we came here!

“My dog is kept in the house while Sniffspot guests are visiting, but we put up a visual block so he can’t see out the door. He often barks when someone arrives at the front door (like any dog does) but it’s quite unlikely he’ll even notice you. He may bark and stand at the patio door if he notices you’re back there (if we forget to put the visual block up or if it’s a last-minute booking and we’re not home to do so). He is an old boy, with limited hearing and sight, so he often stays on his bed all day long.”

“This is a quiet neighborhood, but your dog may hear a neighbor from time to time. They won’t be able to see them through the fence, but you might hear a neighbor taking their big trash can out on Thursday/Friday, mowing the lawn, yard work machinery/tools, neighbors’ grandkids playing loudly in the summer, etc. We will keep our family out of the backyard while you are here of course (unless you would prefer us to come say hello!) 🙂”

Description

We have a little under an acre of land for your pup(s) to roam. Lots of space to toss a ball, play, run, and sniff. We have multiple gardens, several mature trees that provide lovely shade, a playhouse, playground with slide, firepit, stacked wood, a compost pile, a greenhouse & shed, a sandbox (please don’t allow dog to potty here) and a little dome made out of sticks. We have a covered back porch with chairs and also chairs by the firepit. There is a hose with a filter to fill up the large, silver water bowl that’s near the spigot. Please bring your own poop bags and clean up after your dogs. Feel free to sit/relax wherever you’d like (including on the porch). Your dog is WELCOME to explore anywhere (hoophouse, garden beds, behind the shed/glasshouse). I have treat bags available as an add-on, with high-quality, nutritious treats (all-natural ingredients). We started Sniffspot because our 15.5 year old Chaco loves to sniff where all the doggies have been on walks, but he can no longer take long walks. So we decided to bring the sniffspots to him! He absolutely loves going around the backyard to smell where all the other doggies have been, after they’ve left. We hope you have a great time! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. At times, we might have random gardening or light construction material in the backyard. We always have a project going on! 🤪 We keep it as picked up as we can; we want things to be safe for our own dog, so it wouldn’t be any more unsafe for yours than it would be for our own. Possible things: random gardening tools, pvc pipe, toys being left out, toys in sand box, small toys (nerf darts, small foam balls, random toys), playground equipment, branches/limbs (although I’d argue this is a dog’s dream, I’ll still list it here just in case), trampoline, firepit made of bricks, summer-fun items (kiddie pool, sprinkler), gardening items (tomato fencing, buckets, pots, etc.). Like I said, we try to keep it picked up, but we also live here. 😜 We don’t feel there is anything dangerous, but want to post any potential in case anyone feels it might not be a good space for their dog. :)
