Horrible fencing. We had 4 dogs with us and they almost got out multiple times. Neighboring property had a livestock guardian dog that was charging the fence. Multiple animal bones/carcasses around the property. Huge trash pile full of sharp pieces in the middle of the field.
For our first visit to a Sniffspot I would say it was a success. Owner did recommend boots and I should have listened as it's nearly impossible to cross the creek and explore without getting muddy feet. I also didn't realize the number of farm animals and wildlife that use the land too, so a variety of animal poo everywhere. Again...boots would be a good idea. My only concern is that a few farm animals were loose on the property. Some chickens were running around when we first arrived, which my dog, oddly enough, ignored. But as we were leaving a pig was wading in the creek. My girl did find the pig fascinating and followed it, sniffing it at first and then chasing it. She absolutely wouldn't come when called (that's an issue for me to correct) and chased the poor pig all around the property, in and out of the creek until the pig got to its pen. I'm grateful for 2 things: 1) pigs run very fast and 2) I have a sweet, non-aggressive dog. I would hate to think what would have happened to the pig or chickens if she were aggressive.
My Silken Windhound who loves to zoom had a blast. Lots of livestock smells to explore and an interesting terrain that she really enjoyed. Definitely muddy after the rain, rainboots were a must to cross the stream in the middle of the area without getting wet. Entrance isn't marked but the host met me to show me where to go. We will be back!
We had a great time running around and meeting all the animals. Thanks again for being flexible with time.
Host replied: Thank you for visiting and I'm glad you enjoyed it! If I don't have another visitor coming I'm always happy to be flexible.
The property offered an hour of running, fetching, and running through the creek. My boys, Toby, Teddy, and Beau had a great time exploring the new spot and the animals in the fields beside them.
Great place to let the pups explore! The host was welcoming and informative and my dogs had a blast so I’m happy!!
Was unable to use this spot. There was a large loose mastiff running free who approached the car guarding the property. We never got out of the car.
Host replied: Chris, I'm so sorry I missed your appointment. I had seen it earlier and you were sent an auto response, but when I looked Wednesday morning the booking had disappeared and I thought I was mistaken but it must have been because I had the time wrong and it had already started. Yours was the first morning booking I've had and I didn't put away my livestock and their night guardian because of my mistake. If you would like to visit again I'll please message me and I'll gladly give you 3 visits free of charge for your inconvenience. Again, I'm sorry for my screw up, and I'll do better.
We enjoyed our first visit to the farm, definitely recommend wearing rain boots as well as bringing towels but my puppy had a great time running around and jumping across the creek. He was little too interested in the sheep and we will come back once he has a better recall and can leave them alone. I also wasn’t sure if the entire fenced area was 8 acres, seemed closer to maybe 1-2, unless we missed something. Either way it was plenty of room to run around.
Host replied: Thanks for visiting Victoria! It's definitely 8 acres back there, Union County tax maps shows 9.95 acres for the whole farm and there's 1 acre around the greenhouse area and about an acre around the house and I've been paying taxes for 9.95 acres for 20 years lol. A typical suburban house these days is built on 1/8th of an acre if that helps with scale.
Great spot especially if you have multiple dogs. There's plenty of room to run free. John, the host, was friendly and helpful. Just have to be mindful that it is a farm and it would be best to wear boots. Will definitely be bringing my dog back again and is absolutely worth going if you value priva
Always a wonderful experience! Beautiful property and animals!

A private paradise to allow Dogs to connect with your animal instincts Around naturals elements. Sniffers are Welcome at Night for stargazing.
This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂
Fully fenced in yard to run around in! Play fetch, frisbee, or work on some agility tasks! Gate located off driveway, table and chairs to relax at while the pup plays. Available agility equipment are jumps, tunnel, dog walk, table, tire hoop, mini A-frame/dog walk trainer. Yard is regularly sprayed (safe for pups) for mosquitos so it will be a bug free experience! New mulch area added, and all new grass! Note: Agility teeter is smaller than normal, but all dogs welcome to use it. Thank you!
Our fully fenced in yard is perfect for a pup playdate! The fence is solid so there are no visuals of other dogs. The ground is flat and there is access to a large hill outside of the fence for some on leash fun. There is a large tree for shade during the summer or your pup can cool down under the raised deck. Driveway parking is available and there is a hose connection and trash can on the way to the fence gate. Note there are cats in the home who may peek out the window to see what's going on!
Bring your pup(s) to a getaway in the woods! Fully fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run. Our backyard is mostly shaded for the pups and there is a back deck that you are welcome to hang out on while your pup(s) is getting some much needed exercise! If you are bringing small kiddos, they are welcome to swing, use the zip line or jump on the trampoline! We even have an outdoor Connect Four game to play!
Big yard with a small nature area of leave and grass clippings. Shaded. Fully fenced. Street parking.
