Description

Our property borders the Timucuan Preserve. Over an acre of fenced yard. There is a water bowl with access to fresh water near the gate entrance (simply turn the water hose on by moving the black lever). There are balls in the yard to play with and a Chuck-It launcher to play fetch. A garbage pail is on the deck. Feel free to sit on the deck or swing, throw balls to your dog, and run in the yard! If you’d like to see additions to the space, please send me suggestions!

HOST NOTE

We do live near a preserve so always do a perimeter check for snakes. There is a clay target gun range within two miles of the property. If your dog is sensitive to sounds, below are the hours of the range. They are closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Range hours: Wednesday: Noon - 8:30 p.m. Friday: Noon - 6 p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m - 6 p.m. We have a large circle driveway. Please park in the circle.

There is Green Groom French lavender and chamomile dog shampoo in the stainless steel tub under the carport. Bring a towel and feel free to use the tub to bathe your dog before heading home.

There are frozen pup cups in the freezer on the deck. After a session of play, reward your pup(s) with a frozen treat!

My backyard is a quiet spot set at the back of a private road. You’ll hear more birds and squirrels than you will cars or traffic. One side of the yard neighbors a mostly empty lot and the other a wooded area with lots of tall pine trees. A water retention ditch and another fence separates the back of the yard from the neighborhood behind mine. In addition to various dog toys and sticks, there is a mound in the middle of the yard for the septic system. My foster dogs love running up and down the little hills! The fire pit can be used on cold days and there are two spots for accessing water - one of which can also be used for a quick bath or rinse before heading home. There are also water misters, located by the sun shade, to help cool down on those extra hot days. Just flip the switch by the nozzle head on the water spout and enjoy! Please help keep the space clean and tidy by picking up all dog poop and disposing in the little, black trash can just outside the fence. There are recycling and garbage bins for any other items that need to be disposed of. No smoking, please. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your time here with your pups!
