55Huge area for dogs to run around in!
55As someone who has never used sniff spot I was a little confused. But the host gave great info on how to get in. We walked the trail and it was very quite and great for dogs of all sizes. We are already talking about going next week. We are trying to teach our dog new freedoms and he doesn’t have to be up on us all the time.
55Great space for my boys to explore! Well maintained trails and plenty of shade cover for the hot days. Thanks Kevin!
55Great space and well kept. Grass was cut and there was lots of space in the main open area. Will be back for sure! Host was extremely nice.
55We love visiting this Sniffspot! Even in the rain it’s fun. There were a lot of deer out today and the ground wasn’t particularly muddy despite the rain so we had a great time. We got to meet the owner. Kevin was very nice and is always such a help!
55We are so happy to have a large Sniffspot location open up in North KC. There’s lots to explore and plenty to keep a curious dog busy. There are a few natural hazards you can expect at most wooded locations and some man-made hazards but as long as you use common sense and your dog has a decent recall and some self preservation you should be fine. The front of the property is not fenced and is directly against a road so definitely drive a little farther back and be sure to keep your dog away from the front. The back of the property butts up to a couple houses but there is a fence and again just use your common sense to keep your dog moving away from anything you think could cause a problem. There’s lots of wildlife and we even saw a deer with twins close to the property so make sure you can recall your dog. Plenty of shade and places to sit and rest. Wide open fields for playing and trails for exploring. Can’t wait to come back!

Description

We have 10 acres with disc golf and trails right in the loop of Kansas City’s 435 (northland). We live on the property and have a rental house as well on the property. There is a basketball court and plenty of other activities. For years disc golfers have brought their dogs out as they play and dogs love the freedom. There is barbed wire fencing around some of the property but if your dog is not trained, they can escape. We are not responsible for your ability to secure your dog. Two large mowed fields, plenty of wooded trails.

We moved back to the KC area last year and are in the process of turning our new home into a doggy wonderland. Our team of three runs a full time pet care company including doggy daycare, boarding, and drop in visits for all sorts of animal species. As pet care lovers and trainers, we understand the importance of having a private, secure space to work or be with your dog for whatever reason. Our nearly 3 acre backyard is fully fenced, at least our 5 lb chihuahua, daycare dogs, and dozens of sniffspotters have yet to find a way out. While we try our best to maintain our yard, sometimes the grass gets high or there are fallen branches. If grass length is a deal breaker, just ask! We'll let you know if it's gotten high or is freshly mowed. There is a detached garage with an old chicken coop with a hole in the door in the middle of the yard. We're aware the hole is there, we don't have immediate plans to fix it, and we don't mind if your dog wanders into it. The yard backs up to the highway. It can get a little loud, but it's pretty much white noise to us and our dogs. Aside from the highway, it's generally a quiet spot. There is a smaller fenced in area of the backyard we use for dog training. You can use that or the main yard. There's a large circle drive at the entrance of our property. You can either open the large double gate and park behind the fence or you can park by the fence and swing open the smaller gate to walk in. Near the carport is a shelf with poo bags, our business cards, grooming wipes, a grooming towel, dog water bowls, and usually some extra tennis balls. Let us know if anything is missing! There's a trash can by the carport, as well as a waste station halfway down the yard (trash can and additional poo bags) and another in our smaller fenced in area. There's a spigot by the carport and another at the RV port that can be used to fill water bowls or play with. We don't have lighting in the backyard, but can turn on the lights under the carport, should you ever desire. Feel free to move around chairs or table or use the swing. Note, this is our home and we're constantly working on our property. There are piles of firewood, wheelbarrows, and the occasional rake left out leaning against the shed.
