HOST NOTE

Any woods or uneven land can be a hazard. Bees nests have been sighted in warmer weather so keep your pups away from those areas. Raspberry and blackberry bushes can scratch people and dogs. There is an area fenced off with wire and plastic fencing that has poison ivy and some sharp items remaining from the original farmer that could be dangerous. Please keep your dogs from jumping the 4 foot plastic fence or tearing a hole in it to access this area.

Welcome to Mookie’s Happy Place! This is a private property used for reactive and sensitive dogs, so following these instructions helps keep every dog and guest safe. Before your first visit, please download the Sniffspot app, turn NOTIFICATIONS ON, and keep your phone with you during your visit. If you have not completed your Sniffspot profile yet, please do that before arriving. ACCESS TO THE YARD: Enter directly through the DRIVE-IN GATE from the road. Do not pull into the driveway. It is fine to drive over the grass to reach the gate. If the DRIVE-IN GATE is OPEN, drive into the yard. If the DRIVE-IN GATE is CLOSED, walk to the WALK-IN GATE located near the garage. Enter there and hook the gate closed behind you. From inside the yard, open the drive-in gate so you can bring your vehicle in. When leaving, reverse this process. PLEASE LEAVE THE DRIVE-IN GATE IN THE SAME POSITION YOU FOUND IT (OPEN OR CLOSED) unless you have spoken with me directly. BEFORE LETTING YOUR DOG OUT OF YOUR VEHICLE, confirm that the WALK-IN GATE is hooked from the inside. If you are using the drive-in gate, do not park in the driveway. During winter, when snow prevents driving into the yard, please contact me for alternate arrangements. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS. Bring your own bags and cleanup supplies. Place BAGGED waste in the garbage can by the entry gate (not the trash cans located in the center of the yard). There is a hose and pools available for dog water and play when temperatures are above freezing. Bowls are available in the yard if you wish to use them, but please wipe them out before use. There is NO communal water bowl due to health concerns. During colder months when the hose is off, please bring water for your dog. If you use the pools, please HOSE THEM OUT AND HANG THEM BACK ON THE FENCE before you leave. Please read the rules listed on Sniffspot before your visit. This property is DRUG, ALCOHOL, and TOBACCO FREE. No RVs please. For safety, there may be no more than THREE HUMANS PER DOG with a maximum of SIX HUMANS total unless approved in advance. Children are welcome, but please have TWO ADULTS PRESENT PER CHILD. Please be aware that you may occasionally hear farm equipment on nearby land or the road, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, or distant target practice. To respect the neighbors, EXCESSIVE BARKING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. IMPORTANT!
