55This is our 2nd time visiting this spot, but this time we had a reunion for our former foster dog and her litter! Mama and her 7 pups had an amazing day celebrating their 1st birthday. This location was so perfect for this sort of event - tons of open space so you can easily keep an eye on everyone. The dogs and humans all loved it and the owners were so helpful and accommodating to make sure we were able to host this special day! ❤️
55This is a great spot for dogs running free, playing fetch and wrestling. They thoughtfully have a basket of toys and water available. And there is both indoor and outdoor seating. I brought my laptop and got some work done while my dog explored, intending to sit at the picnic table but sprinkles changed that plan. Luckily there was a little bistro set in the covered area I could work from. If you are looking for a spot with minimal to no distractions, it is right along the road with some trees as a buffer. But it’s a dirt road and probably not frequently traveled depending on when you are there.
55Beautiful location! If you are looking for an amazing spot to work on recalls or a fun game of fetch, this location is ideal! It's open and beautiful and very well maintained and well situated. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
55Perfect amount of space for any level of activity dog! Easy access and water pump as well for the dogs. They enjoyed their time and are completely tired out.
55Lots of space, clean, and fully fenced! This is a great spot and the host was very friendly. They sent clear instructions and had some toys available for use. I highly recommend this. We will definitely be back. Kyra and Navi loved it!
55We had a great time!
55Absolutely love coming here with my dog. It’s an escape for him and honestly for me too! There’s no people or other dogs around
55I want to give this a 1 star rating just so other people won’t find my new hidden gem hahaha! Took my reactive dog here for the first time and we absolutely loved it. Super easy to find! Only a couple cars drove by otherwise we saw no one and no animals! Nice little seating area in the barn with toys and poop bags. As well as a well with water which was great for my dog. Definitely will be coming back!! :)
55This was our first time using Sniffspot and had the most wonderful experience. We have a 15 month old Shiloh Shepherd who easily gets overwhelmed by other dogs so this was perfect for allowing him to sniff, run and play without getting stressed. She has many amenities and the space feels private, safe, and beautiful. We’ll be back for sure!
45We loved the size of this Sniffspot, there is a ton of space to run around! Also the host set out fresh water for us, and there are seats to relax both in the barn (covered from the weather) and a picnic table in the grass. The grass is a good height and we did not see any muddy spots. I wish I could leave 5 stars but one of the gates on the property is missing a hinge so it's leaning a bit, and it does not have the extra metal fencing to cover it. We have a 25 pound dog so this made us a little nervous. We would love to return if/when this is addressed. This spot is along a gravel country road, about 1 car every 10 minutes on a weekday afternoon. It was great because we learned our dog likes to chase cars! But if your dog is scared of cars, it might not be a good fit.

Maple Plain, Minnesota

Description

Come enjoy our private, fully fenced 1+ acre pasture, conveniently located 30 minutes west of downtown Minneapolis. Surrounded by nature and nestled between prairie, woods, and wetland, our fenced-in pasture offers a quiet, safe and secure space for pups of all sizes to roam and play freely. This location is tucked away off a quiet rural street, so the only sounds you'll hear are birds chirping and the occasional car or tractor driving by. Plus, with its own private driveway and entrance (and our nearest neighbors being several acres away!), our pasture is a great location especially for sensitive or reactive dogs. During your visit, you'll have access to our barn with a table and chairs, water for your pup when temps are above freezing (including a kiddie pool in summer months), and plenty of dog toys, like a ChuckIt and balls. So, whether your pup prefers an endless game of fetch or just wants a new space to explore, we'd love to welcome you and your four-legged friends to our pasture! NOTE: Our water comes from a private well so if your pup has a sensitive tummy, you may want to bring your own water. (In winter months, the outdoor spigot will be turned off. Please remember to bring your own water!) Calendar can be booked up to 14 days in advance. If you’re looking for a specific day/time more than 14 days out, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

• Ticks: Because this is a grassy field surrounded by woods, we highly recommend being up-to-date on tick meds, especially in the summer months. We try to keep the grass low (2-3”) within the pasture to keep ticks to a minimum.

Host replied: Hi Lisa! Thanks so much for the feedback - totally fair! We’d love to fix the fence (sadly the gate itself is our neighbor’s so easier said than done!) Regardless, I’ll definitely keep this in mind and let you know if/when we have a solution in place!

Hi! My name is Tara and I'm a dog lover, outdoor enthusiast, and can't wait to welcome you and your pup to our pasture! I have two rescue dogs, Bear (Collie/Lab mix) and Hank (Great Pyrenees), that will be kept inside our house during your stay. I work from home so feel free to reach out if needed!

Welcome from the Oak Ridge Standard Poodles and their humans! We invite you to stop by and visit! The yard is fully enclosed with a 6 foot bamboo privacy fence and there is plenty of room to run and play. You'll have full access to a yard level deck, two patios, and a fire pit. There are chairs and tables in various spots year round. When the weather allows, there are additional items including a sectional couch, dog cots, and hammocks as well as lawn games and a speaker/radio upon request. During your visit, you'll have access to a freshly filled gravity water bowl, dog treats, a few toys, towels, wipes, and more! There will be regular sized poop bags as well as larger plastic bags for any cleanup needs you may have. We also provide bottled water for the humans as well as sanitizer if needed. The resident dogs cannot see you from anywhere in the yard, even if your pups wander to the top of the stairs. You may hear neighborhood children at the nearby park. One of our next door neighbors has dogs that could be outside in their fenced yard and may see you upon arrival. However, once you are inside the sniff spot, those dogs will not be able to see you. Guest Wi-Fi: Network-sniffspot Password-sniffspot Parking/Security- We strongly prefer that you pull into the driveway and park on the left side close to the house/garage. Once parked, this area is not visible to our dogs from inside the home, which means they are less likely to bark hello greetings. 🐩 It also means the curious/friendly/inquisitive neighbors will not approach you. Gated access to the sniff spot is on the left side of our home just a few feet from the designated/recommended parking area. The gate is secured with a lock that is opened with a code. You may wish to unlock the gate first and then get your pup out of the vehicle. Security cameras monitor all outdoor spaces. We look forward to your visit and welcome any recommendations in order to make the Oak Ridge Sniff Spot your go-to destination! 🐩
