🌸🌿🌱🌦️ Welcome to Spring at Poppy’s! The prairie and woods are coming alive! But spring also brings unpredictable weather, leading to changing conditions on the trails. Please come prepared for mud and uneven trails. But we can always promise excellent sniffs and adventure for your 4-legged friends no matter what! **Fostering a dog? Message for special discounts** This is our private residence. Our dogs love walking the trails, sprinting through the woods, and diving through the prairie grasses. We love offering other pups the chance to enjoy it too! The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a ravine with a small creek (often dry in the summer). There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. Your dog will need to know to stay close enough to you or respond to your calls. *Poop bags provided* 10% of all profit is donated to dog rescue organizations

HOST NOTE

-- Burrs and stickers in some of the off-trail areas -- Delivery trucks occasionally drive down our driveway which is unfortunately right through the middle of our property. We now have an orange traffic cone you can use to block entrance during your visit -- Our neighbors have a practice shooting range that is aimed away from our property. This, plus hunting season in the Fall, mean you could hear gunshots while on the property. While they don't use it frequently, weekends are more likely than weekdays. Please know that this is a 15 acre space of varied terrain. We maintain the trails for safety but it is still a wild place with tree roots, rocks, and uneven surfaces. By choosing to visit our Sniffspot you are assuming responsibility for yourself and your dogs. The area behind the house is quiet and peaceful and spacious. There is Chuck sticks and frisbees, but you have to bring your own balls. I always provide freshwater and dog treats and there are chairs for people to sit while their dogs run around. Also the home of Critterville self pet wash, if the dog gets stinky after it runs around it can get a warm bath before it goes home if the pet wash is available at that time. There is a sign to the left of the garage door that says Sniff Spot park here you can walk around the left side of the house and enter the backyard from that gate. Follow the signs.
