Description

*IT IS VERY MUDDY! FEEL FREE TO INQUIRE ABOUT TRAIL CONDITIONS PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT WITH EASY CANCELLATIONS* Some days blocked due to muddy conditions. Will open the calendar as things dry out! **Fostering a dog? Message for special discounts** This is our private residence. Our dogs love walking the trails, sprinting through the woods, and diving through the prairie grasses. We love offering other pups the chance to enjoy it too! The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a small ravine with a creek. There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. Your dog will need to know to stay close enough to you or respond to your calls. **No shared water dish provided currently due to Canine Flu going on in the state. If you would like to access a hose to fill your own containers please let us know** 10% of all profit is donated to dog rescue organizations

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

-- Burrs and sticker in some of the off-trail areas -- Our neighbors have a practice shooting range that is aimed away from our property. This, plus hunting season in the Fall, mean you could hear gunshots while on the property. While they don't use it frequently, weekends are more likely than weekdays. Please know that this is a 15 acre space of varied terrain. We maintain the trails for safety but by choosing to visit our Sniffspot you are assuming responsibility for yourself and your dogs.

LOTS of space to run around and have fun. It was a little muddy but to be expected after snow melt and such a nice day. Easy to follow the trail around with the given instructions. Dogs were worn out after their baths!

Host replied: Thank you for checking us out. So happy that your dogs had a fun, albeit muddy, visit! This strange winter has definitely left the spot muddy and we can't wait for it to dry out.

Absolutely incredible property! I brought my dog here for about an hour and a half and we had a blast walking the trails, playing fetch with his favorite toy and getting to roam off leash. This place is wonderful!

Host replied: Thank you for sharing your kind words and positive experience! So glad it was a place that your pup could enjoy without worry. Come back anytime!

Once we found the trail it was awesome! Make sure to read the directions closely. It’s a beautiful spot and we are definitely planning to go back!

Host replied: Thank you for checking us out! We try to make things as clear as possible in the pre-visit welcome email but if you have any suggestions on how to make it better, please share! With 15 acres we know it can be a bit overwhelming but are so glad you found your way and had enjoyed. Hope to see you again soon!

We had a blast, as always! One could never run out of fun here. So much space, great trails, even a stream running through. Dog heaven.

We had a fantastic time today!! It was my husband, myself, our 26 year old daughter, a large mix breed dog, and a small mix breed dog. The property is absolutely stunning!! As you walk through the large pine trees, there are beautiful ornaments carefully hung. Breathtaking nature scenes throughout and picnic tables to sit and enjoy the scenery. My Winnie ran her heart out. We will definitely be back.

Host replied: Thank you for visiting us and for sharing your first experience. We are so happy to hear that you first visit was fun for all. We'd love to have you back anytime!

My Rottie and Golden Retriever lived their best life at Poppy’s Play Prairie! So much space for them to roam and explore. They didn’t want to leave, that’s for sure. Highly recommend :)

Host replied: Thank you for making your first visit here! We share it for exactly this reason. Our own dogs live their best lives, we want other pups to experience it too. Adorable bridge photo!
