Lovely spot! As others have mentioned - there are horses and with horses come horse poo - a delicacy for some dogs. Mine certainly enjoyed snacking and rolling in it! They enjoyed their baths after much less, but well worth the effort for the wonderful time they had frolicking! My only complaint is that in some spots the fence is more of a suggestion than a true barrier, so I will leave a long line on my more escape probe pooches. Overall though - we had a fantastic time and they wore themselves out running up and down the hills and trails.
Host replied: Hi, Cecelia - glad your pooches had a good time! The “fences” you referred to are not the boundary fences, just lines we sometimes use in pasture rotation for the horses. Past them, along the tree line, are the “real” fences, which are secure.
This is a great spot with some open play areas and some short trails as well as two horses (who were secured in the stable). The dogs had a blast here, running around smelling everything and going on the trails. They were a bit scared of the horses so they didn’t go near them much. There is horse poop around but my dogs weren’t very interested in it thankfully. I recommend wearing rain boots or muck boots especially if it’s been raining. Barbara was very nice, she greeted us when we arrived. I highly recommend checking out Barbara’s spot :)
Nice spot. The hiking trails were great. However I had to leash my young dog while walking through the pastures. My pup was distracted by the horse manure. Free food, much to my dismay.
Wilson and I enjoyed this property very much. We will be back!!
Great first visit to this beautiful property! Barbara was very welcoming and our dogs had a great time running the trails. We’ll be back!
We really enjoyed our visit to Lybar. The dogs ran through the woods on the side of the hill as we walked through the trails. They got to take a peek at the horses in the stalls. Thank you Barbara so much for making your space available to us!
Host replied: Thank you, Linda!
Very cool spot! It is spacious and offers open fields and trails, I can't wait to visit again.
Host replied: Thanks, Adrienne!
We had a wonderful time playing in the fields and on the trails! The spot was a great mix of forest shade and fields - our pup Albert was worn out after our visit!
Host replied: Thank you for the review, Marquette! Glad you & Albert had a good time.
What an extraordinary wonderland with horses and a network of trails! Barbara welcomed us warmly upon arrival and our dog proceeded to have a highly enjoyable exploratory adventure.
Host replied: Thank you, Marianne!
Big field with secure fences. My dog had a blast running around and loved meeting the two horses in the barn!
Host replied: Thank you, Courtney!
