55Dogs loved it, especially the water pool!
55Another great visit! Our dogs love all the different terrains here and the fence is secure enough even for our chihuahua.
55Great off the beaten path spot to let dogs be free to run and play. Appreciated being able to keep my vehicle off the road and take into the space. Our first time and I think my dogs were a bit confused but they did seem to enjoy exploring. They can do this at our house but we are not enclosed and I have to be very vigilant. Was nice to be able to chill and not worry about them running off.
55Nice spot! Good hillside, shady and bright areas, plenty of toys and a water bin to drink from. Good seating too. We enjoyed it and found it to be very peaceful. The dogs played a bit but generally just enjoyed sniffing and seeing the scenery!
55Very nice spot. A variety of terrains for the dogs to sniff, toys, a large tub of water to cool off in and several areas with seating for the humans. There was adequate shade also. You can drive your car into the field, good for bolting dogs. The fencing was secure. The location was lovely. We had a great time.
55My dog had a great time. Thanks for making this space available
55our pups so enjoy the freedom of visiting this well cared for spot.
45Quick turn by interstate,we missed it,but we found our way 😁
55The dogs had a blast! I loved the water hose and mini pool for my dogs to cool off in.
55Everything just as described! Secure fence, short grass, very clean, room to run, shade and sunny areas with lots to sniff.

Location

Mars Hill, North Carolina

Description

The top pasture of this small farm is available for dogs to sniff and exercise. Sometimes there will be farm animal smells, horses and goats, and turkeys, rabbits and deer may also visit. There is a nice hill to tire everyone out, and a pretty view of my little farm. If you sit at the top and throw balls down the hill your dogs will get very tired! There is a picnic table, a swing, a table and various chairs, a splashing trough, a dog toy box, and a hose. Feel free to pull right in through the double red gates and close them behind you, to leave my neighbors room to drive past. This will also ensure your dogs don't escape when you open the car doors. There is a large horse water trough, feel free to dump it and refill it if you need to (and if you're strong enough!) There's also a large box of dog toys, if your dog tears one up you can throw the pieces in the trash, they're all disposable.

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There may be wildlife poop and I occasionally let my horses and goats graze there (not in winter). There are usually some sticks lying around that have blown down from the trees.

Additional rules

Please pick up poop (bags and can provided). You're welcome to use the dog toys, whether they're in the toy box or scattered around the hill. You are welcome to drive into the spot and park there before you close the gate. (It’s safer and you don’t have to worry about blocking the neighbor’s driveway) This year we have a working water spigot and hose as well as a livestock tank for splashing. There is also an electrical outlet on the pole if you need to charge your phone. There is a brand new fire pit, but you'll likely need to bring your own firewood.

I am a dog trainer and tiny farm owner, and I understand how important it is for dogs to have time to explore nature and sniff around.
