55We had a wonderful time on our first visit to this sniffspot! The fence is secure, the area feels very "country" (which is lovely, coming from the city!), and my service dog had a blast running on the smooth rocks and jumping onto the porch. There was more than enough room for us to run, throw balls/toys, and to practice our recall cue. The owners have done a fabulous job of making it feel as private as possible. We will be back!

Fencing details: The fence is made out of cattle panels, 4x4’s, 2x4’s, with chicken wire over top of the cattle panels securely attached. The shortest height of the fence is 42”. We custom made the fence ourselves, and made it as escape proof as we could.

Description

Hello, and welcome to Iron Mine Dog Run. Our corner lot is in the quiet country setting of Londonderry Township/Middletown and offers little to no distractions for your pup. There is a picnic table, large front porch, porch swing, and patio table and chairs for resting. Our fenced in area is VERY bright when it gets dark. We have 4 floodlights on the side of the house, string lights & valance on the front porch, and a LED valance on the back porch. We also have LED motion sensing lights on the fence posts throughout the yard. There is a spigot with a hose and sprinkler for those hot days, or to fill your pups water dish! There are many shaded spots to get away from the sun around the yard as well. We love where we live because of the scenery, quietness, and low traffic volumes. Our pups thrive in this environment and we know yours will too, we’re so happy to be able to share it with you! (If you’re a volunteer bringing a foster/shelter dog, please message me for a discount code before you book!) On site Wi-Fi available. Enjoy! (:

Hazards

There is one small mulch bed in the yard. There’s some uneven ground from dogs running/digging. Porch has no railing, please be careful. If not booked 8+ hours before the time of the booking (weekdays only), there may be a pile or two of dog scat from our dogs that morning. Weekends we clean up every time they go, so it’s always ready to go!

Enjoy your time by the fire pit on those chilly days/nights. Nothing else is included in this extra, it is just the fire pit. You will need the rest of the supplies to make and sustain your fire.

I am offering access to the grill which includes a free demonstration (if needed) and a piece of tin foil to cook over. This is a propane grill, with a self igniting button. If you think you will need a demonstration, please message me before paying for this extra so I can ensure I will be home.

Please, Message me to ask before making a fire, as the conditions may not be safe. Bring your own wood and materials. Do not allow your dog on the glass patio table top. Only use the gate at the driveway/sidewalk. Do not use the back gate or front double gates for any reason. We like to keep these as secure as possible to keep everyone safe. Do not open any shed doors. Do not arrive more than 5 minutes early. Please pick up your pups dog poo. Thank you!

Booking Policies
Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.

    We had a wonderful time on our first visit to this sniffspot!     Great quiet location! The owners have dogs and messaged us about them letting us know they were in the house and wouldn’t come to the windows. We never heard a peep from their babies. Our babies enjoyed the yard.

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE. NOTE: If you want to walk your pup on our nature trail please stop in at Playful Pups and speak to one of our reception team.
