Playful Pups Retreat – Hershey Road Dog Splashpad A private, dog-only water play experience designed for safe, enriching fun. Treat your dog to a one-of-a-kind Splashpad experience at Playful Pups Retreat. This clean, professionally maintained space is designed specifically for dogs to enjoy safe water play, cooling off, and enrichment in a private setting. Guests also have access to a large grass yard for additional running and exploration. The Splashpad Sniffspot yard at our Hershey Road location is available on Saturdays and Sundays only, offering a quiet, self-service environment while our facility is closed. Please note that this is a dog-only Splashpad. For safety reasons, children are not permitted to run or play on the Splashpad. While most visits are quiet and private, we do offer dog training classes onsite on some weekends. Guests may see people or dogs arriving, though they use a separate entrance. This is important to consider for dogs who may be reactive. This is a self-service experience, as staff are not typically onsite during weekend rentals. Clear operating instructions are provided to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. SAVE! This is a separate area beyond Tina’s Dog House for half the price. Book it and try it! Although the lower property is fenced on the south side, there are no roads, dogs, or neighbors out and the woods end at a 20’ high turnpike fence way down the mountain. It’s quiet and vast & I’m on a dead end road. It’s ideal for dogs who can play off leash in an open field & woods without full fencing. Or if you just want to walk your dog on leash. Approximately 4 acres including woods, the field borders only 2 neighbors with acreage far away. You will access the field from the right side of the upper driveway before you get to the gate. Park in the grass and walk back over the hill behind the small garage. All of that area is mine too, but it’s also closest to neighbors. You’ll have more privacy and your pup will have less distractions if you go down back. You will be permitted to use the field beyond the fenced yard only, because there may be other SniffSpot customers paying for the fenced yard at the same time. If you have concerns about another dog being inside the fence, feel free to message me first and if it’s not booked, I can block the calendar for the time you want to use the field so no other dogs or people are here inside the yard. I do also have a small dog friendly BnB and on some days there may be other dogs here. I ask guests to keep their dogs inside during your visit. In spring, summer, & fall I will have a hose run down to the fence and water bowls for the dogs. I can provide some seating in the shade for you as well.

Playful Pups Retreat SniffSpot Play Yard

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE.

This is a 24 acre property with a rear field that is approximately 5 acres that contains a beautiful, mature 1 acre pond. The Conewago Creek runs right through the middle of the property. The back of the property has direct access to the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. It is not fenced; however, it has a thick natural brush line, and the other three sides have an older partial fence with overgrown brush. It is very secluded.
