55I had some difficulties with opening the gate. One quick call and help was on the way! Thank you so much to the Playful Pups Retreat owners and staff for your help! This was our first Sniffspot adventure. And that’s exactly what my girl did the first 15 minutes - she sniffed everything! And while we brought two of her favorite toys, she was much more interested in the toys available to play with. This was a great first experience and we will definitely be back!

55My service dog Mesa and I had a great time at this location! The fence is high and secure, making it feel very private. There's more than enough room to run, play fetch, or work on training. The addition of a toy box, water bowl, and seating area were huge bonuses. The only thing I wanted to note is that there are a few holes-- if you or your dog weren't paying attention, you could step in one and possibly hurt yourselves, but they are very easy to spot. As long as you are the tiniest bit aware of your surroundings, you'll be fine. Mesa and I will definitely be back!

It was a little wet and spots were still snow covered but we enjoyed every minute of it. And as always he played his hardest when I told him we only had 5 more minutes left.
55My Boston terrier and Labradoodle loved the space. It was large enough to play catch for hours and even though we could hear other animals it didn’t matter to the dogs. They were having a blast!

Description

Our SniffSpot Play Yard is fully fenced in with a 6ft tall wooden privacy fence. We have 19 wooded acres with our boarding facility being located at the South end of our property, the owners personal residence in the middle and our private SniffSpot play yard at the North end of our property. We do have a nice walking trail that meanders through our property but please be aware that our Playful Pups Retreat Staff may be walking overnight boarding dogs on the trail during our business hours. There is a container with a few toys to play with inside the SniffSpot yard but we do suggest bringing your own toys. Please bring poop bags and clean up after your pet. Please take bags of poop with you or stop at Playful Pups and dispose of it in one of our outdoor trash receptacles. FOR NOISE SENSITIVE DOGS! PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO HAVE A GUN CLUB NOT FAR FROM THIS PLAY YARD. DEPENDING ON THE DAY THERE MAY BE GUNFIRE. NOTE: If you want to walk your pup on our nature trail please stop in at Playful Pups and speak to one of our reception team.

Clean up after your dog and take all poop bags with you. If you use any of our toys please return them to the toy bin before leaving the yard.

Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the spot.
Make sure the area is safe and secure before bringing your dog in.
Never enter a spot before your booking start time and never leave late.
Pick up after your dogs. Leave the spot as it was when you arrived.

Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.

    My service dog Mesa and I had a great time at this location! The fence is high and secure, making it feel very private. There's more than enough room to run, play fetch, or work on training. Unfortunately, dogs sometimes dig holes, or groundhogs have also burrowed into the yard previously, although their holes are typically deeper and tunnel off. We appreciate your understanding.

Hi dog lover! My name is Laurie Yost and I own Playful Pups Retreat. We have two locations in Elizabthtown and are always looking for new ways to serve our clients and the dog lovers in our community. Our overnight boarding facility, located at 850 Milton Grove Rd, Elizabethtown, is situated in 19 beautiful acres. We have a large play yard at the one end of our property that is fully fenced with a wooden 6ft privacy fence that we are happy to now rent out to dog lovers who need a safe and secure area for their dog(s) to run, play and train.

We also have LED motion sensing lights on the fence posts throughout the yard. There is a spigot with a hose and sprinkler for those hot days, or to fill your pups water dish! There are many shaded spots to get away from the sun around the yard as well. We love where we live because of the scenery, quietness, and low traffic volumes. Our pups thrive in this environment and we know yours will too, we’re so happy to be able to share it with you!
