35Beautiful area! Our dog loved exploring in the fields and conifer forest. A lovely place for a picnic, swim, and walk in the woods! Note that there may be people camping on the property in the summer — the host said she would let people know when they book if campers be there. I wouldn’t recommend this site for reactive dogs however — there were three dogs running loose when we arrived that came up to us barking. Nobody was there at first so we stayed in the car until someone came to get the dogs. We ended up keeping our reactive dog on leash just in case, and I’m glad we did because the dogs were out loose and barking as we were leaving too. We didn’t see the host until the end of the visit as we were driving out.
55Sharon’s spot is great. There are wide open grassy places to play, a very well mowed trail through the meadows, fantastically fun woods trails and a pond with terrific lounge chairs. There are several picnic tables in various places. The porta potty is the cleanest one you’ll ever use.
55Such a lovely place to go!! Our two dogs loved it and had such a fun to running around and swimming in the pond. The host is very accommodating and communicates everything beautifully. We’ll definitely be coming back!!
55Lots of space! There’s paths and open fields along with the cute pond! My dog isn’t ready yet but this is definitely a place I would feel comfortable letting him off leash in. Plenty of natural visual barriers around to encourage dogs to stay near by.
55This was a great spot for me and my leash reactive cattle dog to explore. I loved that there was a pond to swim in and the mowed trails. We wandered in the woods quite a bit, as well. All the trails basically loop so that made it easy. Directions were easy to follow and the host was kind enough to accommodate a somewhat last minute booking on an unexpectedly warm November day. We did hear a neighbor dog barking, but it was a ways away and wasn’t enough to trigger Roxy. A neighbor was also out with a tractor, but also not so close that it made a difference. And it’s possible I had wandered beyond where I was supposed to. Both were excellent low stress training opportunities for us. I’m glad I made the drive and will probably be back.
55Amazing! So beautiful and clean! My dog loved playing in the pond and nipping at all the tadpoles. The forested areas are gorgeous. It was super quiet and full of life.

55So beautiful, lots of space with great trails. We didn't message with the host before arriving, but had a confirmation. She wasn't available to show us around, but someone at the house gave us permission to hike. A few ATV's (super friendly) were out and about, but overall just an extraordinary spot. Our two pups had a wonderful time. If they'll have us- we will definitely be back!
55We had such a great time! Our Standard Poodle, Louie is very nervous/reactive with other dogs so we can't really take him swimming or hiking in the state parks (for everyone's safety). We wanted to find an outdoor area that was just OURS for the afternoon, and we found it! This Sniff Spot was awesome- it had a pond for swimming (although if the humans are going to go to the pond, be sure you bring water shoes as the bottom is slippery), a fire pit, a few trails for hiking and an sitting area for eating a picnic lunch. We are so thankful to have found a place like this and will be back!
55This was a great spot with beautiful trails, grassy areas, and a pond. The host was very nice and everything was clean and well maintained. We heard a few dog barks, but otherwise, it was very quiet and private. My dog had a great time running around and exploring!

Host replied: Sorry that my dogs were out when you arrived at 8am on Sunday. I got up late and the dogs just had their morning walk and I didn’t realize the time. I’m usually much better about having them inside when dog walkers come to my land. If you decide to come back pick a later time and there’s a good chance no one will be around. Then just come up and drive straight out to the land without stopping and you will be unnoticed by my dogs.

I bought this land to live on away from people and roads so that dogs may run, play and swim freely and safely. I have 2 of my own dogs and we have dog parties for our friends with dogs. I’m happy to have guests enjoy my property. If there is a time blocked off as unavailable that you would like to come over, please send me a message and I might be able to open it up for you.
