45I am rating it 4 as it is obviously a great property even though we did not get to take advantage of it. When we arrived there were two vehicles on the premises but no-one around and no indication of which gate we should use or if it was OK to enter. When I rang the bell, the only response was from a large non-aggressive dog. It was obvious that the house opened directly onto the sniffspot area and I just did not feel comfortable entering a private property without any indication that I was doing it appropriately.
55Ben had a great time running around off leash! Would definitely recommend.
55AWESOME place. Megan was kind enough to let us know she would not be home but that we were welcome to use her property. It is humbling a little too see that this is the families own backyard but the fencing, available space and tree coverage are fantastic. We have a tiny elder Pomeranian and a big silly Labradoodle/ wolfhound cross and both really enjoyed the space. We will certainly want to use the space again as we avoid public parks due to unruly dogs or unvaccinated dogs. Bring able to have a safe space just for us is the best. Thank you Sniff Spot and thank you Megan (and your family)
55Owners were very friendly, responsive and helpful. The yard was a great space that was clean and had lots of shade. IF it was rainy, it might be a bit muddy under the trees where the grass is sparse, but it was hot and dry today and we appreciated all that shade with a place to sit on a log bench. Chain link fence around entire yard for a secure space. My dog had a great time running around. We took a ball and he loved it. We’ll definitely go back. The owners said they have dogs, but we did not see or hear them while we were there. Thank you so much!
55My Malamute loved this space. So many smells !! Lots of sun and shade, short grass so not too worried about tics.

Daily 7 A.M. until 7 P.M. we offer a partially fenced, groomed 1 acre + 2 field play areas, where your dogs can run free. And we offer 4 trails currently. We have chairs in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. There is a pond in the first field but I don't recommend it for swimming except in May, but feel free! Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field. From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Part way back there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring and this summer due to all the rain we have had. This is marked with orange pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Just past the culvert, we currently offer a trail around our wheat field going East that is plowed currently. It's along woods and takes about 15 minutes ending on the main trail. Just past here, we have a very nice trail around a soybean field, going East initially. This trail is very pretty and easy to follow. It's about half a mile and takes 10 or 15 minutes to walk. There are a couple of wet/muddy spots so be mindful. This trail ends in another small play area and you can continue through a short shady walk, ending back at the main trail at the bottom of the hill. Alternately, you can access the shady walk at the bottom of the big hill once you get there along the main trail. This walk is very pretty, maybe 10 minutes in and back to the main trail. Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field trail, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. Cooler times are before 11 a.m. We plan to add a trail through the woods in the late fall once the insects and ticks die off. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $6/hour and guests will be charged in USD*** On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks. They are dog and family friendly; an all around great place to visit!
