Welcome to our backyard! We know how valuable new experiences are for dogs and how being off leash to run, sniff, and play is good for dogs' physical and mental well being - and ours, too! Our privacy fencing and large yard allows you and your dog to have a safe place away from unfamiliar people / other dogs*. It's great for getting your dog some different sniffs and letting them off leash for a game of fetch! *Our neighbor does have a dog who may be outside during your visit. The neighbor's dog is friendly and absolutely cannot get into our yard. Your dog will be 100% safe, but please know that if the neighbor's dog is outside during your visit, she may try to stick a little bit of her snout underneath any of the small openings along the fence line.

A fully fenced yard for you and your animals to run and roam! The Hawthorne has almost an acre of land for your doggo to explore! Because of the heavy precipitation recently, there is a decent size puddle in the low ground of the yard and the grass surrounding it saturated. Feel free to use the hose to rinse your pup off if they play in the water. We are fully fenced in so y’all can run without worry! We have a hose and bowl outside for you to use for water. We have a large open area to play ball or frisbee and a meadow / English garden type area on the sides of the yard that provide fun terrain for your dogs to explore. The dogs are welcome to roam whenever they’d like, but please be mindful of what they eat since we have a native pollinator garden. The yard is enclosed by a combination of a 6’ privacy fence, as well as a chain link fence that abuts the neighbors backyard (no dogs), and a white picket fence reinforced with chicken wire on one side. The shorter fence is on an embankment so it’s almost equivalent to our 6’ fence that surrounds most of the yard. We mow regularly. There is always ample, safe street parking directly in front of the Hawthorne Hotel, as well as on the side street where there is a convenient gate that leads directly to the back yard. The best spot is right outside the gate. Please be mindful of closing the gate behind you when you enter and exit as it requires a firm tug to latch. **Closed for re-seeding and landscaping the lawn!** Check back in June for availability! — We have a fully fenced in yard (4 feet tall) with multiple elevations to explore near Forestdale Cemetery. We want to share our yard with all dogs, but especially the ones that need a quiet space to enjoy just being a dog outside (especially if the dog park can be too intense). We had a reactive dog, and know how hard that can be. The yard is on a quiet dead end suburban road with plenty of free street parking. Entrance to the yard is up a few steps to the right of the house and driveway and features a Sniffspot sign near the gate door (see pictures). We do have a dog, Nova, who will be kept inside at all times. We love our yard, and hope you can enjoy it, too!

Quarter acre of grass, fully fenced. Kiddie pool just for dogs! While my fence is intact, I would advise caution for tiny breed escape artists who can potentially squeeze through small gaps. This has not been an issue in my experience with friends’ small dogs though.

Huge fenced in yard with private access to hiking trails in Ames Nowell abutting Cleveland pond. Spend time off leash in our yard before heading into the park. We do have a detention pond that will need to be off limits for your dog(s) but if needed, we have sprinkler / hose if they accidentally go into it. We kindly ask that you pick up after your dog.

Quiet cul de sac, please park in front of house or driveway, dog friendly neighborhood
