Miles of marked hiking trails, woods and open pasture, a seasonal creek, and getting away from it all while still being close enough...all reserved just for you during your visit! We're honored to host families, friend groups, and hiking buddies who want to enjoy the peacefulness, beauty, and freedom found in adventuring with their pups on private rural land. (**It is up to the dog owner to keep themselves and their dogs on OUR property and not venture into a neighbor's area.**) Towels, water dish, hammock, table and chairs, and trail maps are available at the Welcome Station. A primitive outhouse is available for visitor use and is a little walk from the Welcome Station. Offering Sniffspot allows our family a unique opportunity to share our beautiful property with others. We are very cognizant of the rapid subdividing and development of rural land in Middle Tennessee, and we are hoping to continue offering our property as a peaceful escape to enjoy the beauty of the area. Thanks for your support towards this goal! :) 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 We are proud of our wild homeplace and love sharing its beauty and peacefulness with others! This property has been in our family since the early 1800s, and in fact, our children are the 8th generation to live in our old farmhouse. :) The portion of the property for our dog guests and their people is 140 acres of beautiful woods and spacious open fields less than an hour from Nashville. This part of the property has several cedar glades, marked hiking trails, karst topography, a seasonal creek, a variety of wildlife, and several benches (one converts to a picnic table) available for guests. We’ve developed and are continually maintaining trails across our property. Some of the trails are wide and open and give you great access to the beautiful pastures. Other trails are narrow and twist through the unendingly interesting woods. All trails have names and are identified with signs and posted maps. The woods trails are also marked with flags and ribbons to help you stay on track. The terrain varies from flat and open to hilly and wooded. If you need the fresh air, chance to recharge, and time to explore as much as your pup, this is the place for you! Our property is unfenced, and there are some neighbor homes near the property lines. It is essential that your dogs stay close to you and don’t bother anything outside our property. Plentiful Hill is a wild place. We aim to make it accessible and enjoyable to visitors, but we ultimately submit to the inescapable power, beauty, and essence of nature. Please anticipate and prepare for normal outdoor issues including bug bites, snake encounters, and severe weather. We work hard to keep paths mowed/accessible during the growing months, but bug spray (with Deet is the most effective) and tick checks are necessary to ensure you and your pups stay happy and healthy. :) ***Because this property has been a farm for more than 200 years, you may find some old implements, trash, and wire fencing left over from all those years ago. Staying on the trails while in the woods is advised. Also, you may hear the occasional gunshot from neighboring properties. That is common down in the country, especially during hunting season from Nov through Jan, and it can be startling. There is no shooting/hunting on our property.*** The Town of Chapel Hill is 10 minutes away and has several Dollar Generals, a small grocery store, several restaurants, a laundry mat, and a few boutique shops...enough to cover any essential needs you have while out visiting this way! We’re less than 30 minutes from Spring Hill and Lewisburg, less than 40 minutes from Franklin, Columbia, and Murfreesboro, and, surprisingly, less than 50 minutes from downtown Nashville. These are difficult times for a lot of folks, and we want our property to be a safe and inviting place for people of all backgrounds and their pets. It's important to us that people of color, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone else who might sometimes feel unwelcomed in outdoor spaces feel especially comfortable and accepted while visiting our place.

This is part of our home, and we’re happy to share it with you. Our main request is simple: please clean up after yourself and your dog. Pick up any pet waste, dispose of your trash, and leave the yard and porch as you found them so everyone can enjoy a clean, welcoming space. Camera disclosure: Outdoor cameras are in use and monitor the backyard. Please be aware of this when booking your visit. We look forward to welcoming you and your four-legged friend! 🐾

Welcome to J Bar J Dairy Farms. This beautiful farm 1 hour south of Nashville, 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, and 25 minutes from Franklin, 12 minutes from Chapel Hill, and 10 minutes south from I-840 This is a small and open area for your dogs to stretch their legs and to be away from a city environment. There is an active dairy farm on this property and we do have dairy cows and calf’s so please do not feed them as they are on special diets to keep them active and healthy or pet them while you walk our trail without owners present and permission Interaction with the livestock is limited to owners availability. The trail is ready to use and we are slowly adding things to the trail to make it more convenient for you and your loving pets. Our farm is located in the town of Eagleville right off the main highway of Hwy 41A.
