45Lovely place for the dogs to run. I should have read the info about the low voltage fence for the chickens. My girl was sniffing a little too close and got shocked. Neither one of my dogs have ever seen chickens before 😂. She yelped pretty loud but I think it scared her more than hurt her. It sadly ended their fun, though, and both dogs were ready to go home. Everything else was great though. What I would expect for having my dogs run and play in tall grass and fields ☺️. The issue with the fence was my fault as I should have kept them away. Just putting this in my review for others to be aware and watch your dogs. Thanks for opening your beautiful property up to let my city dogs play!
55Our very first sniff spot visit! The dogs both loved it! They are city dogs and were wore out with 20 minutes. So we didn’t stay the whole time. We will definitely be back again
55Fantastic spot! Boo had fun watching the chickens & ducks. Plenty of room to play fetch and shade if it’s a little hot like it was today.
45Not a far drive, lovely people, space is set back from the road and is quite peaceful. Drawback for us was the lack of a cut path. If there was a cut path through the land, would give five stars. Still we enjoyed exploring and our pup loves tall grasses, but without a cut path, we were picking ticks off the rest of the evening, even though we were appropriately dressed and sprayed up. The chickens and ducks were great for our senior dog to get to see and perk up at. Would be useful to have a trash can for pet waste as we didn’t see one marked for such anywhere. We may return in winter, when the bugs die, but without a cut path, this spot is out for us the other seasons. Owners were fantastic and friendly. Big bonus!
55This is a nice large spot and not too far of a drive if you leave in Nashville. We are still working on recall so I used a long line as we walk that portion of the SniffSpot. It’s pretty open so easy for your dog to run in the neighboring properties. The area around the barn has fencing, although the gate was open, and I didn’t want to mess up anything so I didn’t try to close. There’s two areas near the barn. The front and back. If your dog has decent recall, you can allow off leash play and be able to recall before any attempts to go in the main backyard. The second area is more behind the barn and looked really secure. There’s a chicken coop but my pup looked once and enjoying run in the grass off leash after that. My dog LOVES running in tall grass and was able to do that in some areas. Not sure if it’ll always have some tall grass but it was a plus for us on this visit. Overall, we had a great visit and would visit again!

Description

Welcome to Zoey’s Barn Yard Playground. We have a total of 7 acres with 5 available for plenty of doggy fun. There are 3 sections of fenced areas and lots of field space to play in. You will see 3 field gates on the property. Please feel free to open or close these for your convenience to section off play areas. We have cut a path that runs around the perimeter of the property for your curious pups and walking pleasure. There is a barn for protection from the rain and sunshine. Located there is a water spicket with a hose attached for use, trash can and a basket with extra waste bags, toys, bug spray, sunblock, towels and some water bottles for puppy parents. There are also a few camp chairs for your use located near the grill. Please excuse the barns appearance. You never know what project we may be in the middle of. Though we don't mind if your fur baby enters the barn, please do not use it as a play area. We are planning to refill the pond in the next few weeks for some water fun. We will be sure to add this on the amenities page once it is complete. Feel free to say hello to our fenced in chickens and ducks behind the barn. Let’s us know if you have any questions.

Host replied: Ariel- Thank you for the suggestions on clearing some paths - we got the 1952 Ford tractor out and made a few paths around the entire area of the property and a huge spot by the barn to play. We also just purchased a puppy poo waste station and are excited to get it set up for everyone to use. Thank you again for your suggestions. Super helpful. Please come back and let us know how we've improved. Tina and Richard

Host replied: Shanika - Thank you for being our first guest and the wonderful review. We will continue to make our playground better as we break into this new and exciting way to share our property for other to enjoy with their fur babies. We do plan on leaving up areas all year round that have tall grass to play in. We hope you come back and visit us again. Tina and Richard

Stack discounts! The savings add up! 👍 We hope you will visit Nashville's very first Sniffspot and the most popular Sniffspot in middle Tennessee to this day! Read on for details … we love sharing our secret place! This Sniffspot is very conveniently located in southeast Nashville, 20 minutes from downtown, right near Bell Rd/Nolensville Rd between the Hickory Hollow pkwy/Tanger Outlets i24 and Bell Rd exits and the Brentwood i65 Old Hickory Blvd exit. An idyllic setting offers 7+ park-like acres of old farm land, mostly fenced, that includes waterfront access to Mill Creek with adventures for all kinds of humans and dogs to enjoy activities like playing, running, sniffing, digging and playing in the water. Come get your steps in and spend some quality off-leash time! Training, photo shoots, picnics, birthday and gotcha parties, just explore, rest, or relax in the Adirondack chairs while your dogs sniff, zoom, roam, retrieve, sniff, dig, walk, run, and sniff some more. There's creek access to swim, pastures to nap, play areas of tall grass the dogs can explore, dig or derp around. Even plan your picnic on a blanket or use the picnic table. Get some exercise on the trampoline (Note: use at your own risk!). Make this sniffspot your private oasis for as long as you want.. Kids are always welcome! Just book your play time, bring at least one dog and all humans are free! Mill Creek borders the very back of the property and is available for water play but trees and vegetation and overall acreage makes it easily avoidable if that's not your thing. If you choose to venture to the creek and have a runner, you may want to bring a long lead. The water levels are usually below the knee, but the ability to use Mill Creek safely depends on you, the creek conditions, and amount of recent rainfall. Always assess the abilities of you and your pets- as safety comes first! As Dirty Harry once said, "A man's got to know his limitations." The majority of the property has fencing so once you pass the house on your way to the back fields it's off leash play time! I recommend consider walking the perimeter first (on or off leash) to orient yourself with property features and assess potential escape opportunities. Your dog(s) will benefit from a perimeter walk allowing them to visually identify, mark their spots, and collect sniffs while at the same time reaping the benefit of your pack leaving an invisible "bread crumb" scent trail as you walk which will assist a dog with future identification of the established boundaries as well. This is a natural instinct for many breeds. Note that Mill Creek along the back of the entire property is not fenced but it is mostly obscured at dogs level by trees and vegetation. Tip: When leaving, you may want to leash up before you reach the house - especially if you have a runner since there is no fence on the side of the house you enter and leave the spot. Depending on the water table, there is also a small feeder stream gently flowing through the middle of the property between the side and back fields. It can be great fun for a dog to explore and jump in and out of (just try and stop them!) And great for smaller dogs if Mill Creek is too intimidating. Hint: bring towels! The mature tree lines always provide plenty of shade for those hot summer months. Several foot bridges are available to cross over that small stream between the side and back fields while exploring, and you might even find the occasional old fashioned rope wood swing. 7Acres Challenge: See if you can find the hidden steps! A black hose with spray wand attachment is hanging by the house at the entrance/exit if you need to rinse you or your pet. Another green hose is available hanging on the opposite corner in the back of the house by the BACK garage door for your use along with a water bowl. Feel free to pick yourself wildflowers if they are blooming (late Spring/Summer Varieties), or snack on some blackberries off the fence line if you happen to come while they are ripening (usually mid-June to mid-July).... Bug spray is always recommended spring through fall, Just in case!
