55The owner was very welcoming when we first arrived. My dogs absolutely loved this place. They had so much room to sprint through the open fields and spent the rest of the time exploring the trails. By the end, they were completely worn out in the best way. We will definitely be back!

55It was our first time visiting mustang Sally’s, and we really enjoyed this spot. It had LOTS of space for the dogs to roam. We really liked the options of either wooded trails or open fields to give the older pups of our pack a break from the terrain of the trails.

55The moment my boys realized they had fields and trails and tall grass to zoom through, they were off to the races. It’s a fun and beautiful place to explore, lots of shade and sunny fields. Multiple garbage cans are around and it felt like having the world all to ourselves for a bit.

For quite some time now, my husband has been restoring this land as a nature preserve, bringing back shortgrass and tallgrass prairie, along with a small pond and wetland area. It’s been a labor of love—years of removing invasive species and re-establishing native plants. The wildflowers and grasses are thriving, with peak blooms throughout June, July, and August. By September, many of the plants begin setting seed, which is still a beautiful and important part of the natural prairie cycle. The designated trail offers a tidy, easy walk through the nature area. If your dog chooses to roam off trail, they’re stepping into a more immersive slice of Midwest prairie. With that experience can come sticker plants, burrs, mud, uneven ground, and the occasional wet area. If you want to keep your pup clean and sticker-free, we recommend staying on the trail.… because nature! Thank you for allowing us to share this special place with you and for giving your dog a place to explore, enjoy nature, and stretch their legs. Plenty of open space to roam surrounded by a treeline. Also you can use the firepit and seating. There is a large grassy plot, then you can walk a trail on either side of the pond, then there is a large prairie spot in back of pond.
