Welcome to our peaceful 0.75-acre fully fenced Sniffspot, the perfect mix of open space and natural woodland for your dog to safely explore, sniff, and play! Located on a quiet street, this space offers a relaxing, private escape where you and your pup can enjoy some off-leash time surrounded by nature. (Please note, there is no actual river... I named it after my own pups! 😄) 🌳 Features & Perks Fully fenced with a 5-foot wire fence — secure perimeter for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Completely separate from the house for a truly private experience. Natural, chemical-free lot — we never use pesticides or fertilizers, so your dog can safely enjoy the sights and smells of nature. Shady wooded areas and sunny grassy spaces — perfect for lounging or playing fetch. Two benches available for you to relax while your dog explores. Poop bag station and garbage can conveniently located for easy clean-up. Very private setting — you can’t see other people or pets, and the yard is shielded from the road by thick foliage. (The only time a person may be visible for a short moment is if there is a rare delivery to the house, unfortunately those cannot be planned for but it is at least 50 ft or more from the Sniff Spot). Quiet environment — the only sounds you’ll hear are birds, rustling leaves, and the occasional car turning into the driveway or leaving from the main house. The road noise from the main road is minimal. This is a natural, wooded space, so please be aware of the following: Uneven ground, logs, and branches that may pose tripping hazards for people and pets. Thorny vines and sticker bushes in some areas along the wooded edges (we try to remove them as often as we can). Insects such as mosquitoes and ticks, may be present, especially during warmer months. Fallen leaves and natural debris may occasionally cover roots or small holes. Wildlife (such as squirrels, rabbits, and birds) may be seen or heard nearby. Parts of the yard may be muddy after rainfall. There are no lights or street lights of any kind, so once it gets dark out it is not recommended to be in the Sniffspot. We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes, checking dogs for ticks after visiting, and supervising pets at all times to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Quiet .7 Acre, Fully Fenced, Private Yard In Elgin

Our spot is on a large corner lot on a dead-end street in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. We have one nextdoor neighbor who has no pets, and we have large privacy trees between us. The yard is shaded with established trees, and roughly three quarters of an acre are fenced in with a ranch style wooden fence (the lowest rung is 6 inches above the ground, so our spot is not suitable for tiny dogs who might want to run underneath). The yard is not close to the road, but people occasionally walk by and are visible. We have lots of squirrels and chipmunks to chase. It's a great spot for reactive dogs who need to run or nap in a sun-dappled space and don't do well at a traditional social dog park. We have a large vegetable garden and do not use pesticides in the yard to protect our pollinator friends. Our cozy deck is available with comfortable seating, tables, and wifi. I work from home and am often around if you happen to need anything. We do have a rescued 7 year old pup on the premises, but he will stay inside and away from windows. Come on in and make yourselves at home!
