55We had a great time visiting today. David met us as we arrived and he was very pleasant and helpful. Lots to explore and Rusty enjoyed the water, even on this breezy March day. The map was a good resource though I don’t think we checked every aspect of the property. I will definitely return as this was a great off leash spot!
55Always a great time! And cleared more space for the dogs to run!
55David’s Sniffspot continues to be the best of the best. My dogs have the time of their lives whenever we visit (and so do I). Can’t wait to come back soon!
55David’s Sniffspot is quite simply a gem. Plenty of space for dogs to run free without the worry of bumping into any unexpected people or dogs. There’s a lot of exploring to do, lots of different areas to check out, and beautiful wide trails that keep you on track. I can’t wait to come back. Thanks, David!!!
55Always a good time! The dogs absolutely love their time at David’s!
55Love this place! Woods, water, mud: a little something for everyone 🤣🤣
55One of the best sniffspots in New England. Thank you for sharing !!
55Hands down, this is the best Sniffspot. David was very quick to respond to our booking request and gave detailed instructions on where to park, along with a map of the property. The property is beautiful, with several spots with bodies of water, cool scrap metal/antiques to look at, sniffs galore, and all the branches/sticks my dog could ask for. The map was helpful as other reviews mentioned, but aside from using it as a reference so we didn't go off the property, it wasn't necessary since there were creative named signs up and the walkable paths are well maintained. We wound up having such a great time we asked if we could extend our stay and David was more than accommodating. We will definitely be back!
55Cool spot, plenty of trails and paths to explore.
55I love this place! There is plenty of space to let your dogs explore and run....assuming they are pretty good about coming when called since it is not fenced. Even if you have to keep them on a leash just use a long training lead....it's still a great walk. The first time I went I had some difficulty getting my bearings but this time I asked David for some kind of map defining boundaries and we did much better. If you stay on the main trails you will be fine....and will end up at a place for the dogs to play in water. We did a fair amount of bushwhacking last time but still managed to find our way back. We will definitely be returning. David is super responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Hound Hill Rustic 1 Acre Fenced Private Dog Park in West Avon

Find us on Facebook! Search: Hound Hill, 1 acre fenced private dog park in West Avon Hound Hill is a fully fenced one acre wooded doggy paradise. We have our own pack of four dogs and created this space for them. They use the large yard daily but will always be secured inside the house for the entirety of your visit. Hound hill is an unimproved wooded area, but we have cleared brush, leaves and sticks for easier walking and playing with your dog. Our fence is mesh critter fence which is wildlife friendly for the deer, bears, bobcats and other animals that travel through our property. If you are looking for a large space for fetch or just to let your dog explore then this is the place! Please note that the dog park is on a hill and there are no paved or flat areas within the park. It is recommended that you wear good shoes with traction and are comfortable walking through an unimproved wooded area. There are rocks, sticks, leaves and uneven terrain. If you have physical limitations this park may be very difficult for you to use. When you arrive please take time to walk the fence line with your dog on leash first to ensure the fence is intact. Due to the nature of critter fencing and the abundance of wildlife, we have had occasional breaks caused by deer and bear as well as branches that have fallen. If you spot any issue please message the host and they will immediately address the issue. We love this fence because it does not entangle the wild animals and is very easy to repair. This means we have to inspect it often, and we do, but for the safety of all we encourage each doggie chaperone to do their own visual inspection before allowing dogs free rein. We do treat the area with cedar oil for ticks. We do not use any herbicides or pesticides or fertilizer. Please pull all the way into the drive and park in the gravel spot to the left of the garage. There is marked parking for one vehicle. If you have additional vehicles please park the second vehicle in the culdesac and walk in. Do not block the garage doors. Enter and exit through the gate directly in front of the parking spot. Please do not use the gate on the other side of the lot for any reason. Please do not use the smaller fenced area directly off the back of the house. Please pick up after your dog. Removal of dog waste is imperative in order for us to continue to offer this spot. Thank you so much for visiting, I love seeing our clients and their dogs enjoy themselves so much while playing freely!
