55Always a great experience! My dogs know where we are when we turn off the exit and get so excited! Great if you have a reactive dog. No people or dogs around. Very few cars pass by. Quiet and just a wonderful place to allow your dogs the freedom to run and explore safely.
55An amazing spot to bring your dog(s) and let them have some amazing off leash time. The dog barn and fans are a huge plus for some shade and a place to cool off for everyone (dogs and humans) in the summer heat. 11/10 do recommend.

55We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Dog Barn during our visit! Niko was thrilled to play with the horses the entire time, and really searched the fence for holes to get to them so we can attest to the security of the fence :) the bath station was a wonderful added touch to clean up a wet puppy after his frolic. We will absolutely return for another visit!
55Such a wonderful experience!! We had the best time at the Dog Barn. My dogs are apartment dogs, so being able to let them roam such a large space was a lot of fun. There were fans to stay cool and a shaded area to sit and relax while the dogs ran around. The dog bath accessibility after they got dirty playing was a nice touch and much appreciated. Thank you for everything!! We will definitely be coming back!

“I have two kittens that stay at the main house that will wander down to the barn. They are not afraid of dogs. And there are horses and cows in the pasture. Please do not enter the pasture. There are horses that will come up to the fence. Not responsible for nibbles.”

Description

Welcome to The Dog Barn. We have both fenced and unfenced areas for dogs to play. There is a pond you can access and a self serve dog wash if you fur child gets stinky. There are 60 acres of trails and hills you can climb, but that part of the property is unfenced. You can sit and swing under the trees of enjoy our barn and a cold drink while your puppy plays. For handicap guest, the barn and porches are level to ground but covered with small gravel. The walking deck has no railing and shallow steps. There is a handicap accessible restroom available on the property across from the dog yard accessed by code in an unfenced area.

We live on 20 acres and once we close our driveway gate, it is 98% fenced. You would have access to the 10 acres of pasture we have that is technically fully fenced but has a couple of spots a super sneaky dog could slip through, so you need to stay nearby or keep an eye on them when they are off-leash. 90% of that area has chicken wire on the fence so they can't get out easily. The only portion that doesn't have chicken wire is up at the top where you enter. And a couple spots on corners where a dog super eager to get out probably could. Our dogs will be in our house during your scheduled time so there will not be other dogs. The neighbors have horses but they are on the other side of the fence- so just keep an eye that your dog doesn't someone wiggle through. We recommend staying on the mowed "paths". Our dogs run through the tall grass and try to hunt field mice and squirrels. We have seen snakes but thankfully have never had a dog bitten in the two years we have lived here. Give us a call if you see a venomous snake as we'd like to get rid of them. This spot is available between 9am-11:30am and 2pm-6:30. If you would like to request a time outside of those windows, let me know and we will see if it's possible. You start at the top of a hill and walk down so this would not be a good spot for someone with limited mobility.
