55First time here! The place was well maintained, very spacious and compartmented with different gate layouts inside, it had several mini trails for them to explore and run on, lots of endless opportunities to sniff new scents, and cool amenities for both dogs and humans. There’s a lot to do and see here: from feeding the ducks and chickens, to bird watching by the pond in the back, relaxing by the shaded canopy (with chairs, toys, water, snacks, and more), and the fire pit which looked lovely (though we weren’t sure if it was accessible during any visit or only included with a selection from the extras that the host offers for additional credits). Either way, a gorgeous and fun place. We also appreciated the couple of different poop bag bins throughout the space so you don’t have to walk a long distance to the same one every time, and the two easily accessible entries to the yard. By the way, one of the ducks tends to stick her neck and head outside of the corral fence. Super cute, but please keep this in mind if your dog is reactive to wildlife or has a high prey drive. We parked in the west side (to the left of the house if you’re viewing it from across the street) to avoid any interactions with their neighbor’s dog Mia. We still couldn’t understand exactly how far into the driveway she could go when she spontaneously visits the host. Obviously we choose sniffspots for our dogs to avoid interactions with dogs we don’t know well, but the host assured us that by parking in the west side we should be fine. During our visit we did not see her. When we arrived, the garage was open with a large black truck parked there, we weren’t sure if there was someone coming or going as we got the dogs out of the car. Ironically one of our dogs (a rescue) is skittish of large dark things, male humans, sudden loud noises, etc. Half way through our visit a man and three teenage boys were walking to the garage, which is next to the west side gate entry where we were giving the dogs water. We had a brief interaction and they went on their way. They were polite, thankfully kept a distance from the gate, and said he hoped we were having fun as I thanked them for sharing their space. Unfortunately after that interaction our senior pup stayed guarding that gate entry until the end of our visit. He couldn’t get himself to continue exploring the space in the back. I think a solution is next time us receiving a quick heads up so we could help avoid any unexpected interactions by making sure we aren’t near that area if anybody needs to walk by. Maybe we’ll come back and try again, I think he was understandably weary of an unexpected group of people (who also happened to be male🤦) who were suddenly nearby us in a space that was new. On the opposite side of this, Frog was having THE best time in the world and definitely enjoyed the treats and awesome space full of open “aisles” to run as much and as fast as he wanted. Titan had fun earlier too, he was having a blast with all the smells and new discoveries at every turn. He seemed really happy to be there, and I could see his little smile:) He would sniff one spot and then trot to another very content. Frog was off happily being a dog and chasing after dad from time to time. This was our “Halloween event” so we dressed them up too and it was nice to spend some time with them in a secure outside space. It’s always the best when they get to have all the off-leash freedom and play until they’re happily tired. Thank you Morgan and family, for sharing your super cool yard and giving so many dogs the chance to enjoy fresh air without the limits from a leash or guardedness/reactiveness that comes with public dog parks.
