This place was great for any dogs that wants to run long distance and sniff around. I definitely want to come back here when the weather is cooler, my dogs absolutely loves the open space. Make sure to have doggy wipes because they might get dirty from the field. Thank you again Jane!
This was our first Sniffspot experience, we used the app, signed up and chose a spot that we wanted. We live in Anthem and have a yard but wanted a large, grassy, fenced in area to just let our 2.5yr/110lb German Shepherd just play ball and run. The field was perfect for us and just what we were looking for, we brought a couple of folding chairs, a cooler and coffee. Bodhi was a little overwhelmed at first but loved every minute. It was easy to find, we received great instructions, clean and you could even hear the cows moo 😊 I would suggest to stop at the travel center to use their facilities before you arrive if need to. Jane replied right away when I booked the time and was very detailed in her reply, this was perfect for us and exactly what we wanted, we will be booking again…… thank you Jane!!
I loved this field! This is exactly what I was looking for, for my German Shepard mix to burn her energy on! She was so happy to get to run in all that open space! Definitely booking again!
This is my first time using the app living out here in Buckeye, which leaves us with limited options, so when we found Gambel Field we were excited to visit! This was very last minute planning on our end, and we appreciate Jane working with us due to the unexpected weather as well, but my 3 dogs had a blast!! We will definitely be coming back again! This is their favorite place now!
Terrific spot to let your dogs off leash (after inside the field). big enough to train, play or simply let them run around and be dogs.
Great place to let the dogs run free. My two Australian Shepards had a blast here. The area is very large and easy to access. I knew it was going to be hot, even at 8am, but I was still hoping for some shade. My only issue was no shade (trees) and I couldn’t figure out how to get the water to work, could have been user error. All in all great place, I’ll be back when it’s a hit cooler.
Absolutely lovely and had a great time! Loved watching the sky lighten as my dog could run around and sniff. Also, the fences are big enough for a dog's head to peek through which is something to keep in mind if your dog is reactive and another dog is using the other field at the same time. If you want a nice field to do some training/playing with your dog--this is it! Even just a walk and sniff I was there for an hour and that's all we did and we had a grand ol time. Worth the drive:)
My two pups loved their first SniffSpot experience here! We planned on making this a pitstop several hours into our 15 hour road trip, and the dogs were so happy to get out to stretch their legs. There was plenty of room for them to run, play fetch, and wear themselves out. Since it was especially hot, our host graciously offered to turn the sprinklers on for them to play in and even gave us cold water to refill our dog bowls. We would all (pups and humans) highly recommend!
I booked for 1.5 hrs and my dogs were done in 45 min lol
Such a great area of open space! We did hear/see the neighbor’s dogs barking and my reactive dog got riled up but only for a few minutes, nothing bad. All 3 of my dogs had a blast running around and had their tongues out the entire time. Will definitely be back :)
Our dogs had an absolute blast running through the large field, we only needed about 30 minutes before they were exhausted. Will be returning!
Our first visit to Gambel Field Park. It was a very nice outing for our 1-yr old sighthound who enjoyed the freedom to run in a perfectly-sized area for a pup who is still working on recalls. Plush grass center area makes for good running! Clear access instructions were appreciated, too!
Was a nice peaceful place, my two pups loved it (:
So much space for my pups to run! They had so much fun. We did see some dogs from their neighbors and they were barking, but it didn’t bother us. We will definitely be back!
Amazing as always!!
Such a treat to be out in nature with the dogs. They love it. Thank you.
My dogs had a 'field' day!!! So much space and room to run and play!!! Two huge thumbs up!!
This place was awesome!
Such an awesome spot! The open space is perfect for running, playing fetch, working on commands or just giving your dogs some off-leash freedom.
They also provide a trash can and water, we will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing this space with us!
This was my first time visiting a sniff spot and we really enjoyed it! Our dogs loved the space
Beautiful afternoon at Gambel field.
This place is great. We come every week and going to try early as we can In the summertime!
This place is perfect .
This was our first visit, and we had a great time. For anyone who has a large and/or reactive dog that needs vigorous exercise (as we do), this spot would work great. Huge turf field to run in, fully fenced, and pretty well isolated from distractions. If this spot location wasn't so far from where we live, we'd be regulars here.
The only thing to be aware of is that there's currently not much shade around the field, nor much in the way of seating/shelter for the human. However, I talked with the spot owner, and it sounds like they are already working on enhancements like that for the spot amenities.
Large, quiet, fenced spots with good turf surface seem to be a rarity down in the Valley. If that's what you are looking for, I'd put this spot on your list.
This is a great space for training and dogs to run around. I have a dog that is very reactive to other dogs and I cannot take him to a dog park to run around. This spot was perfect because there were no other close dogs (I did hear a dog bark but way in the distance). The perimeter was secured and water was available if needed. I will be making more trips out there. This is also a great a lot for recall training or off leash training.
Perfect! Wide open space. Tons of room for zoomies plus lots of good sniffs. My pup spent her first visit "nose to ground" and got to explore. Looking forward to our next visit.
Another great visit to the farm. Just what we all needed.
My dogs had so much fun running around. There were no other dogs, people, or other animals in sight and was very quiet.
Amazing property! Friendly owners and felt completely safe with doggo off leash. Next time we are booking for 2 hours, and after exhausting game of fetch, enjoying the peaceful scenery over lunch.
Loved it! Plenty of space to run and easy access
Wonderful host. Clean and easily accessible facility. Secure fencing. Worth the drive from Phoenix. We will be back!
This is an absolute jackpot of a sniff spot 😊😊 The main area that is marked Gambel Field is a huge fenced in grassy area about the size of an average dog park in Phoenix. Fully enclosed and nice and clean. What’s even more awesome though is the additional 14 acres behind the field that Jane invited us to explore as well! That space is also totally fenced, but there are a couple places where the ground is washed out under the fence that a medium-sized dog could fit underneath. It was not an issue for us though and I have two very happy pups now. I think they think they went to Disneyland 😋😋
Really amazing spot. Huge field. Fenced in. We went a little before sunset and watched the sun set as we left — such a good time for my active, large dogs.
