Description

Has your dog become a couch potato? Bring it on out for some good conditioning. Recommended for hunting/sporting dogs and large dogs, we have 100+ acres fenced in with 10' tall fence. Owner will need to walk with their dog (off leash of course) since sight of your dog is limited. The property includes a creek that runs across the front of the property, crop fields (currently soybeans), wooded areas, wetland, and some gentle hills. You can walk the perimeter of the fence and down many trails. It takes me about 40 minutes to walk the front part of the perimeter I cover with my dogs. There is a pond but due to the heat, it is currently covered in algae. Your dog will have access to the creek for drinking, swimming, and playing in. There are a few plastic Adirondack chairs set out for resting. Depending on the time of day, you may hear and/or see my dogs and our rental house occupants dogs. There will be no other dogs inside the fenced area when you visit. This is also in a farming area, so you may hear livestock from neighboring farms. I cannot guarantee that your dog will be clean or stick-tight free when leaving but they will have fun and be tired. This is a great spot for conditioning your upland bird dog before hunting season. No shooting or hunting on our property.

HOST NOTE

This is an old farm. There is one area marked on the map and on signs that contain hazards such as fencing supplies, wood piles, old farm debris, etc. Just try to keep the dogs out of there and walk on past. We have done our best to remove any hazards because our dogs run this farm too, but there may be old fences and posts to watch for. There are also holes from woodchucks and uneven ground in places. If we have had rain, I would suggest wearing boots. And since you will be walking through grasses and woods, check for ticks when you are done. Hi I'm Erika, I have a Goldendoodle named Polly, our sniffspot is located just 2 blocks from downtown Marshall-exact address provided upon reservation. We have a fenced in front and back yard (which can be separated by closing the side gate if you would rather only use the backyard). Polly will be kept inside and away from windows so you and your baby can have a fun and relaxing time. There is seating with shade on the front porch and seating on the back porch that you're welcome to use. As seen in pics there is also a blue tote next to the stairs in the backyard filled with water for squirt guns (provided), my dog loves to try to catch the water from the squirt guns. Make yourself at home. There is a basket on the patio table of things like hand sanitizer, bug spray, sun screen, Band-Aids (hopefully you don't need them but they're there just to be safe). Help yourself to anything you need. A water dish will also be provided which is washed after every reservation. Puppy pool can also be freshy filled for additional charge.
