55Early morning run and splash!
55We came back for a second time. This has become our go to spot on our vacation. Dogs were so excited to arrive on this second day and my German Shepherd did not want to leave! I enjoyed letting the dogs sniff run and play, throwing the ball for my German Shepherd, doing some training and also down time where they did their thing and I wrote and drew. Kerri is an amazing host and really cares about making this an amazing sniffspot. She goes above and beyond and her enjoyment in it is evident!
55I can't write a positive enough review for this sniffspot. I am here from out of town with my little terrier mix and German Shepherd. Kerri warmly welcomed us. She loves dogs and is committed to this sniffspot. This allowed my reactive dogs to feel immediately at ease. Tons of space to run and explore, every kind of toy we could want, water to soak in and enough shade to find comfort in the heat wave. There are even brushes, a perk since I did not think to bring any on vacation. Kerri went out of her way for us and it was everything we wanted for a fun and relaxing time. Thank you Kerri!
55This place is perfect! Quiet and well set up. The host is a phenomenal woman! I highly recommend!
55The dogs always have the best time here, even early in the morning to beat the heat!
55Dogs had a great time sniffing all the new smells area was clean and safe the owner even met up with us to show us around definitely will be making this our weekly sniff spot
55My shepherds loved trying to herd sheep today! Good and tired
55What a fantastic time! Kerri has thought of everything two German shepherds could want! Tons of smells to investigate and more than enough room to run and chase and play. She’s got toys, a play pool, tons of water such that we were never worried about having to refill. Seating for the humans, well fenced and we felt safe enough to let the dogs roam and not have to keep an eye on them at all times. And it’s well marked with Sniffspot signs and flags so we knew we were at the right spot. We will definitely be back!
55Another fabulous visit to Penny Acres! The kiddie pool was very much appreciated!
55Relaxing morning with my buddy under the willow tree.

Description

Updated 1/2024 HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you find whatever you are seeking for your new year's goals. I want to thank you all for visiting and often returning! And for your patience as I have cleaned up the property, tried to make it usable and comfortable for your visits. I am welcome to ideas, suggestions, requests. As we go in to the colder, wetter months, the seasonal creek will be flowing soon. I will add more towels in the closet, feel free to use them! The elk have made several appearances which made for an exciting visit for some guests! I have rotated the horses through as the grass has been coming up and will continue to do so as needed. ** Remember, if the calendar is closed, you are welcome to send me a message. I may only need to quickly move the horses back for your visit ** Some plans I have in the works for this coming year is a few more trees to put in the pastures, I will add another bench for an option in the front field directly behind the barn. I am trying to figure out how to fence and secure the far back pasture that goes down into the ravine, although so far it has not posed any issues that I am aware of. We are continuing to add gravel and cleaning up around the barn, including fencing around the backyard area that sits in front of the barn. Feel free to use the tables, the swing, whatever is out there. I have a few yard games (corn hole, croquette etc) I am happy to put out. My bigger projects are finishing my “little library” cabinet, and I am hoping by the end of Summer to have a SELF SERVE DOG WASH WITH A BLOW DRYER! I am always open to suggestions, ideas and whatever else. I appreciate all that have visited and look forward to making new friends in this coming year. More gravel will be added as we dry out to make parking a little easier. Kerri and all my farm family! * Just a reminder that it is always flea and tick season. We do not treat the pastures with any spray so be mindful about using whatever treatment your vet recommends. * This is first and foremost my horses supplemental feed supply now that the grass is coming on. That means the horses will be over there more often. And that means extra "sensory obstacles" aka piles of horse poo .. I do drag my fields as time allows. But that is in short supply these days and usually doesn't happen until closer to the fall.

Hello my name is Kerri. I have lived in Sams Valley for the last 14 plus years. My husband and I have one daughter and a small hobby farm with just about everything you can imagine roaming around. We are very active in our 4H/FFA community and enjoy supporting the youth in Jackson County. I happened upon this adventure and am looking forward to being able to offer our place for you to enjoy with your beloved fur kids!

Welcome! First-time guests receive a $5 discount with the coupon code "TRYTHESPOT24". Conveniently located less than one mile off Interstate-5 at exit 103. This exit features a gas station, Grocery Outlet, Tesla charging stations, McDonald’s, Tractor Supply (dog toys!), A&W, a donut shop, Dollar Tree, and more. Summer update: The lush green grass has turned into brown for the summer. We have a small kiddy-pool for you to fill and use if you wish for your pups to splash around a bit. The large sprinkler in the park is there only for a fire emergency. Mornings and evenings are still very nice for your pups to enjoy! New play feature added: King of the Spot! Dogs only on the play feature please - not for humans to climb on. This approximately one-acre park is fully fenced with brand new 5’ tall non-climb wire fencing. There are two gates for access: a walk-through gate if you choose to park on the wide gravel shoulder along the road, and a drive-through gate which allows you to bring your vehicle inside the park onto a large gravel parking area to unload your furry friends. Inside the park you will find a gently sloped grassy field with some nice flat areas also. There is a brand-new 12'x14' covered shelter to keep you out of the rain or hot sun. We have also installed a real, vintage fire hydrant for your dog’s “enjoyment”. Some rock wall terraces about 2’ to 3’ tall can be used for sitting, and for your larger breed dogs to jump up and down on. There are Adirondack chairs and a large wooden picnic table for the humans as well as the dogs (our Lab loves to jump up on top and take in the view). A water hydrant provides fresh water from our local municipal water source, Tri City Water, and you will find water pails for every size of dog. Nearby is a mailbox with doo doo bags, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and paper towels. You will also find two wooden crates: one filled with an assortment of toys, and the other provides a nice stick library for your pooch to choose from. Please note: both gates open inwards into the park. Seven or eight months out of the year you will find green grass (and weeds), in the summer months it will be dry dormant grass. The park is always kept mowed and there will be no tall grass or weedy areas. We do not spray any herbicides or pesticides of any kind inside the park or along the fence lines. This park does not share a fence line with any other properties and there is a wide perimeter around the park on three sides. The fourth side is along Crest Drive, a medium trafficked residential road. There are some neighboring small dogs along the back line that will say hello now and then, but there is a 80’ buffer between the fence lines on this side. We respect your privacy while using the park, and even though we would love to come over and play with every dog visitor and say hello to their humans, we will only meet you by specific request. Generally the park is available to book during daylight hours, but there is some flexibility for your special requests. There is a nice light right across the street that lights up much of the park nicely at night. If you choose to park your vehicle inside the park, please open the gate slowly so that it doesn’t swing against the post too quickly. Both gates have combination locks on them. The current code will be provided upon scheduling your visit. This is a non-smoking park. Alcoholic beverages and drug use are also not allowed in the park. Please do not play loud music in the park. If you are ever unsatisfied with your visit for any reason, we will gladly contact Sniffspot and request a refund. We are appreciate your visits and are happy to share this space with you and your dogs. If you have questions about your booking of visit please call 541-530-3922. Thank you for choosing the Grace Park Sniffspot!
