55My dog and I hade a wonderful hike! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
55Always very nice to walk in the woods!
55Great spot! Had a wonderful time :)
55We just had an amazing time visiting this spot for our first time. We took the long trail and the timing (1 hr visit) was perfect! My 2 dogs were in sniff heaven, it was quiet (which is a godsend for my noise reactive dog), and it was great exercise for all of us. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
55Just wonderful to take our dogs on the nice trails! We enjoy it every time!
55What a magical place. So grateful the hosts are willing to share the experience with other dog owners. Trails are visible and clear, just make sure to bring shoes for mud. Our pup loved it, excited to come back in warmer days
55Very secluded, gorgeous property to take my reactive dog on a hike. A very special treat for the whole family, as that is not something we ever get to do. Look forward to experiencing the trails in the warmer seasons!
55Very nice place!
55So fun! Such a nice place to take your reactive dog. And honestly so peaceful and quiet out on the trails. We circled back to the goat pen and just watched and listened to them for a bit so my pup could take in the sights and smells. They were far from the fence and quiet when we were there but if you think your reactive dog would have a problem with seeing them I would say start the other way on the trail first! Overall super nice and well maintained path!
55Give your dog an hour at this location - the trail(s) are wide a much to smell. 1 of our 2 visits their dogs were out and they did respect the invisible fence.

Description

🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. Take a break at the top of the first hill and relax in the hammock, taking in the peaceful nature around you. This is a great spot to bring a snack or picnic! We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

• Mud after it rains (it’s totally still hikeable!) • Some pricker bushes and burrs along side of one part of the trail (we work to remove this as we can because we don’t enjoy them either lol!) • Hills (nothing super steep- they resemble a decent sledding hill) but if you have trouble walking inclines this might be a struggle
