Jaclynn's Fully Fenced-find and Private Dog Park In Woodridge

The yard is nice and spacious and clean with plenty of toys. But heads up, there is a VERY low point in the fence maybe 2-3’ high, if your dog is prone to escaping, keep an eye out! The owner’s large dog was visible at the sliding glass door barking for the first ~15 minutes of our visit, which luckily only bothered my dog a few times and I was able to redirect him with treats and toys, but it could be a much worse trigger for some. Overall the yard itself is extremely nice, but with the very low fence and barking dog right by us I was a little nervous the whole time.

I had my dog’s 3rd birthday party here. Him and his friends had a great time. The yard was clean and the host had plenty of toys and water out for the pups.

I made a very last-minute booking, on an especially slushy day (the snow was melting), but the host was incredibly accommodating! She did a round to ensure the yard was clean, promised me extra time because she was readying the yard for my visit! She even directed me to a paw cleaner so that my car seat wouldn't be covered in Imli's muddy paw prints 😅 Imli loved her time there, and while she isn't a fan of dogs, she slowly got used to the host's dog's quiet appearance behind the glass door to the yard. I swear Imli was showing off to him and trying to alert him about the comings and goings around the neighborhood 🤦🏻‍♀️ He didn't bark at all and was a very friendly presence the few times he curiously watched us play.

I am qualifying this review by stating that I booked only about 45 minutes in advance of my scheduled visit and perhaps the host couldn’t prepare adequately. Additionally, there was a warning that popped up upon scheduling that warned me of other reports of cleanliness issues. I mistakenly thought that those would be addressed, since people usually don’t maintain a poor condition once it is pointed out to them. With all of that in mind, the spot was littered with dog poop. I picked up two piles myself, and the longer I stayed the more we found. The poop bin was also full. Some poop was bagged, some was not. We left after only 30 minutes. I’m sorry to say that we will not be returning here. There are so many other nice features about this spot, but the lack of cleanliness really detracts from all of them.

Host replied: Hi Gabrielle- Thanks for pointing out these issues and I apologize our yard has not been picked up after. We have not been notified of any issues of cleanliness in the past so I am unsure of what warning you have mentioned. We have been out of town for about a week now and had a scheduled yard clean up- which makes me think this has not been taken care of as it should’ve been. I will discuss with who is watching our home as they may not have cleaned up after the dogs visiting this week/prior to leaving this morning for work. We are so sorry for the poor experience and assure you it will be taken care of!

A great spot to visit with the pups! There is a lot to sniff! My dogs had a blast!

They loved it so much thank you. The sweet doggy that lives there was visible in the back window from time to time so just a heads up to any visitors. My girls just ignored him. Lots of space and toys and water for the dogs to drink. Thanks again

Great spot! Lots of room to run and sniff…toys, clean water, treats & poop bags, lots of places to sit…couldn’t ask for anything else! It was perfect for burning off some pre-Thanksgiving energy. We’ll definitely be back!

The yard was a gorgeous, private little getaway. My dog had so much fun playing with all the toys that the host provided and our host was so kind! Would definitely come back again :)

Great spot! Securely fenced, clean, host provided everything you could possibly need (treats/poop bags/trash can/water bowl/toys/towel). Very clean & well kept yard. Sun & shade spots. Seats for humans. Perfect for dogs who need room for fetch and great for those who just want to sniff around and explore all the trees/bushes around the yard. We will definitely be back! *Note for those that it may apply to - back of the yard is a hill that slopes down to fence. Back fence could be jumped if you have a jumper/escape artist.
