Welcome to our suburban homestead. We have dogs, cats, chickens, and honeybees. We love animals and want to share our fully fenced, private yard with yours. Our dogs will be kept in the house, our chickens will be in their coop, & our bees are tucked in a corner, so be careful! •We are a working farm. We have chickens, bees, and fruit/veggie plants/bushes/trees onsite. •Pollinator Gardens •Honeybee hives - tucked in a corner next to the garage. They do have a wire fence around them. Please bee careful this time of the year. The pets are usually okay by the fence but humans shouldn’t get too close. •Wood piles •Garden wire/fences •There may occasionally be holes in the ground due to dogs digging, we try to fill them as best as we can. •Other ordinary hazards associated with outdoor agricultural environments

Fall/Winter update: the yard is DARK after 5pm. Hose is off for winterization, so please bring water. Our 1/2 acre fully fenced dog-friendly yard is here to host your special furry friends. We live a short, straight-shot drive from Chicago and are butt-up against the beautiful Salt Creek (and all the wild life that also calls the creek "home" - bunnies, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, garden snakes (harmless, but present in May), etc.). The head of Salt Creek Trail is located just a block away on Thomas Street, so feel free to explore the creek/trail after your yard time. It leads all the way to Villa Park, where you can catch the Prairie Path / Great Western Trail. You'll pass by MORE Brewing Company as well as outdoor bar and food trucks Fuel and Creme (ice cream). Make a day of it! Please note that even though the yard IS fully fenced, it is comprised of a variety of sizes shapes ranging from 6 feet privacy, raw iron, to 4 foot chain-link, barn wood with chicken wire between the wood gaps. You know your dog's "flight risk" better than anyone, so please make smart decisions when booking our yard. Dispose of poop bags in the BLUE TOP bin (green is recycle). Finally, note that we can only host 2 dogs at a time due to wear and tear on the yard. Have fun!
