Description

Come explore the trail behind Wrightwood Place. Originally built by John Wilkins (Red Barn Opry founder) it leads to John’s cross and then up the hillside about a quarter mile to the Angeles National Forest. Moderate to difficult due to slippery hillsides, poorly marked switch backs, and fallen trees. But great views! Hazards: UNFENCED! Coyotes, rattlesnakes, cougars, and other wildlife. Sharp plants and rocks. And stuff I don’t even know about yet. There is a water spigot just below the trailhead. I’ll unlock the restrooms for you if you let me know you are coming.

No smoking, vaping, drugs or alcohol. No children under 8 years old. Keep dogs leashed in parking lot and indoors. Stay off Hwy 2. Keep dogs within view under voice command as property is unfenced. Don’t feed wildlife. Clean up after yourself. Enter at your own risk!!! Deadly hazards include rattlesnakes, coyotes, cougars, sharp plants and rocks, slippery hillsides, vertical drop offs, unmarked trails, and more.
