There is a switch back trail through the middle of the property marked by tree branches/logs and pink/green flags. Further trail description below the instructions. Best way to find the trail from the gate is to either follow the fence line up to the right all the way to the top of the property or walk straight up the gulley until you see the first green flag. The green flags mark the beginning and end of each switchback. There are 29 rows of switchbacks. Between the green flags there are pink flags to guide you with branches and logs to mark the left and right of each trail. There are a few places where the trail merges which is marked by 2 yellow flags. The last (or first depending on the ascent or descent chosen) trail row has yellow flags that have been colored pink (see pictures at the very end of the collage). It is about a 4 mile round trip hike if you follow the switch backs up then down (or vice versa). For you hiking purists the switchback rows are not perfectly parallel. This was a 3 year manual effort. The more ya’ll hike it the more visible it will be.

Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. This area is fully fenced, the fence is a welded mesh type with some portions being straight wire for deer access. We have 2 friendly dogs that have no recall and therefore only have access to their dog run, they will be kept inside the house during reservations. We also have a small chicken coop and run located next to the house. ** UPDATE ** We also now have mini cows located on the top right of the property. Please be aware some wildlife (black bears, deer, elk, turkeys and moose) may occasionally be around. Wooded areas have blown down trees and some firewood processing areas. Please make an immediate left after entering the property, park in front of the gate where the access to the wooded area is. We have added signage indicating where to park.
