Welcome to West Willow Acres! Follow us on Instagram and tag us in your pics: @westwillowacres My husband, our dog, West, and I are so excited to share our little slice of heaven with you. The property is just over 8 acres and fully fenced with barb wire cattle fencing. The portion of the property around the house has more secure wire mesh fencing! We have lots of seating available, we just ask you don't come onto the porch for our dog's sake (: The property has meadows, trees, walking trails, and a pond for you and your pup to enjoy! Right off 35! Are you traveling down 35 with your pet? Take a pit stop at our Sniffspot and let your furry friend stretch their legs then be back on the road no problem!

Hazards

HONEYBEES 🐝 Starting in March 2023, we will be keeping honeybees on the back right corner of our property. The bees are going to be kept inside of a fenced off shelter so that animals (including your doggos) can’t reach the hives directly. That being said if you are nervous about bees or allergic, we would recommend avoiding the back right corner of our property. We have not found ticks on our dog even after running through the tall grass but I still recommend that you check your dog afterwards. Our neighbor does have cattle that will occasionally come up to the fence (please do not approach if your dog can be aggressive). There is always the chance of poison oak in the taller grass so humans should be vigilant. Also we have seen the occasional ant hill. Although we have not seen any yet, always be aware of snakes since we are in the country. As mentioned above, the fencing is mostly 5 strand barbed wire cattle fencing. See 7th picture in profile for reference. An escape artist could crawl through some parts of the fence if they really tried - but our dog never has.

Our dogs were in heaven. There's a small sort in the fence where the barbed wire is saying near the pond, but otherwise the fence was completely sound.

We had a wonderful time at Mandy’s! The property is gorgeous and very spacious. Mandy is a very thoughtful and welcoming host. We booked a photoshoot as well- which I can’t recommend enough, it was so much fun! I’m so excited to have some professional photos of me and my pup.Really an amazing experience all around and we can’t wait to come back!!

Great spot, we have a newer dog who can’t be trusted 100% so she had to stay on a leash due to her being able to go through the cattle barbed wire fence, but this is not a issue of the host, just our silly dog!

Super great spot! Wesley had the time of his life! It was so fun to watch him prance around and explore. It took him only a couple minutes to accept the presence of the cows. Definitely recommend! There was a loose or wild dog that happened to run off the property as we were walking around, so maybe take a quick look around first if you have a reactive dog!
