Welcome to Woofing Woods! Located on a quiet road in Harmony Twp/Ambridge (Beaver County, PA), Woofing Woods is about 5.25 acres of my woodland, non-level, unfenced, private property for your pup's enrichment, exercise, and fun! My backyard slopes downhill and becomes wooded. This is where the trail begins! At the bottom you'll find a supply station, and you'll see three main trails to explore. If you explore past the field and cross the stream, the very back of the property levels out and feels very much like a secluded nature park. Please consider whether my spot is a good fit for you and your pup due to the terrain and unfenced aspects of the property. My Sniffspot is also not great for small kids or possibly older joints and bones on pups. If you need or prefer level ground or cement with fencing then we're probably not a great fit! Thanks for sniffing around!

My spot is hilly. My spot is non-level. The trail into the woods might feel steep to you or your dog. Please walk safely. There are neighborhood noises close by, such as dogs barking or lawn mowers, etc. If your dog is reactive and bolts, my unfenced spot may not be a great fit. Prepare for walking downhill/uphill, uneven terrain, tree branches, tree roots, mud, bugs, downed trees or other natural woodsy elements. There are many bugs that live in the woods. This includes mosquitoes, ticks, flies, bees, and other potentially bothersome critters.

You can still have a pawsome time hiking and exploring if you decide to keep your dog leashed! Property lines are marked along the perimeter with purple paint and purple tape on tree trunks. The main trails are marked with bright green marking tape. Please don't litter, consume alcohol or drugs, bring illegal weapons, bring glass containers, use drones, steal, carve into trees, graffiti, light fires, grill, smoke, hunt, take/share pics of our home or family, or damage my or my neighbors' property. We had another great time here! It’s so much fun to watch our pups run though all of the new foliage. We tried out the new hose/spray down station, and it was wonderful! During the hose down, we found a tick on one of our pups, but Stephanie had thought ahead and had tick removers available at that station. We were able to get the tick off without any trouble. Thanks for a great visit!

We had a great time! Our pup, Brody loved exploring the woods and trails and we appreciated the hammocks after walking the hills 😊 We did see a couple of big toads so keep an eye out! Definitely looking forward to coming back

Host replied: Thank you for coming out to explore! The hammocks are ready whenever you are!

Absolutely amazing off-leash area! There was so much room to run around, tons of hills to climb, and a stream for my pups to cool off in. The trails and boundaries were very clearly marked and water and other amenities were provided for both me and my pups. We can’t wait to come back soon!

Host replied: Awesome to hear, Kyle! Thank you for lmk! Hope to have you all back at Woofing Woods soon!

Meet your host

Hi! I've owned this wooded property in Harmony Twp for about 12 years. My degree is in park and resource management, although most of my adult life has been spent momming. I began providing pet care through Rover.com in 2016 after closing my tiny online knitting business. In 2022 I began a Facebook group for our small local community to post and share about our pets, strays, and ferals, after learning about TNR and experiencing the process myself. The needs of my rescue pup, Luke, as well as my experiences with caring for over 60 pets have helped shape my interest in learning more about canine reactivity and the beauty and importance of providing a variety of enrichment activities. Luke is 13 years young and loves a hike in the woods! Sniffari's, decompression walks, enrichment hikes, scent strolls-- whatever you like to call them-- he thrives in nature. Sometimes he sniffs along a trail for an hour and sometimes he gallops excitedly ahead. So I've named my spot "Woofing Woods Nature Park" in his honor. Thanks for reading this far and I hope you find that it's all that it's barked up to be around here!
