Seating around the fire pit area (the fire pit itself is not for guest use). Water hose available in the warmer months; in winter, please bring water for your pup. Parking in the driveway or on the street, whichever is available. The gate is latched. My three dogs will be inside the house during your visit, so the yard is all yours.

Welcome to Newburyport’s High Street private yard dog play area! I am a secure 100% fenced half-acre private dog park close to a coffee shop, a natural food grocery store, a gas station, the waterfront rail trail, and two large beautiful public parks. Enjoy all Newburyport has to offer before or after your dog(s) run and play leash free in my yard for a more enjoyable and relaxing day. I offer seasonal refreshments and treats for humans and ice cold, fresh water for dogs along with chicken-free treats. There is a community ball bin where you can take or leave a dog toy/ball. We have a stick library and a dedicated dig zone. Guests love the 1/2 acre being open and clear to see their dog(s) wrestle and fetch without colliding into other objects. We are set back from busy High Street with plenty of parking and direct access to the yard through a large gate. Because we are in a popular city neighborhood, Saturdays tend to be loudest with neighbors doing lawn work and kids and dogs can be heard in the distance. There is plenty of space in the yard to avoid the view, in the distance, of people walking by but if your dog is super reactive to everything it might take a few visits for the dog to relax and enjoy the yard. If you would like to use one or all, just message me through sniffspot and let me know so I can have it out for you. - For doggie play-dates, one person should book for all attendees. - You can park on the street or in the driveway when available. - The pool is protected by a fence in the winter and open in the summer. Access to the pool is blocked by a gate on the deck stairs. - After a lot of rain we sometimes get muddy puddles. - The yard has grass, flowers, woods, a kiddie pool, access to a hose, water bowl, dog toys, a place for pet parents to sit and relax while the doggos play. - Its probably a bit more than a 1/2 acre fenced with grass and a wooded trail. There will almost always be someone home during any visit as I work from home. We have dogs and I will lock them inside the house while we have visitors. Rules: 1. We would appreciate a 24 hour notice for all reservation changes or cancellations. 2. If you have more than 2 cars attending at the same time, please park at North Broadway Crossing. 3. Only one booking is in the yard at a time. 4. Due to the pool, no person under 18 is allowed on the property without adult supervision. 5. It is crucial that you arrive during and only stay for the time booked because another family may be booked directly after you or I could have my dogs in the yard if you are there outside of your booked time and I wouldn't want an unexpected encounter.

Welcome to our yard: our dog’s favorite place! Fully fenced in from house to property line property line; also “double-fenced” where the woods begin to keep dogs on the grass. Property is protected from ticks and mosquitos with regular (pet safe) spray treatments. Please park along the street and walk up the driveway to the white fence, reach over to unlatch the gate and step in onto the patio. Your dog may play anywhere in the yard or on the patio. Please do not go behind the chicken wire fencing or sheds. You are welcome to use any of our tennis balls, “chuck-its” and dog toys while using the yard; we leave them on the patio table. Feel free to take a seat under the umbrella for some shade. If the little doggie “kiddie” pool is set up, you may use it, but absolutely NO people OR dogs allowed in the above-ground pool. We also ask that you please stay off the deck. You may dispose of any poop bags in the tin milk can under the deck. Please close the gate behind you when you leave. We hope you and your dog have tons of fun in our yard!
