The pool is open!! Please remember - it needs to be added as an “extra” and there is a limit of 3 dogs in the pool for the longevity of our filter and pump :) There has been some confusion around booking the pool - you need to book the yard for at least as long as you book the yard. The yard blocks the spot on the calendar, not the pool. For example, if you book the yard for 90 minutes, the longest you can book the pool is 90 minutes (you can book the pool for less (e.g. 60 min or 30 min) if you prefer. We will provide towels, pool toys, and life jackets for your use. Please hang the towels and life jackets on the fence when you have completed your visit. Groverland is a 2 acre fenced yard so you and your furry friend(s) have plenty of room to roam. Please be sure the gate latches when you come in and when you leave. We live next to a very busy road and want to ensure everyone's safety! We have toys in a bin on the steps to the deck. Feel free to use them, but please put them back when you are done. There are poop bags and wet wipes on the toy station as well. The poop bucket is next to the gate you came in. Water dishes will be on the pavers between the pool and the house. There is also a kiddie pool for use. We do ask that you keep barking to a minimum. I have grumpy neighbors who disapprove of the Spot :) We are open from 10am - 4pm, but will sometimes make exceptions, so feel free to ask. Now for the Debbie Downer part - as the spot has gotten more popular, we are seeing things getting damaged and, as a result, have added a few rules. If you damage something, please let us know so we can address it. Things happen, so do not worry, we just need to know so we take care of it before the next guest. Pool rules: 1) No dogs on the pool furniture 2) Please do not prop the pool gate open Let us know if you have any questions! IMPORTANT - please note that we have audio and video surveillance in the yard. We are not listening to you….the surveillance is in place as documentation of the noise generated by the Spot to defend against neighbor statements of excessive noise.

We are bordered by the woods on two sides and for the first year, we are getting ticks in our yard :( It is being treated, but please be sure to check your dog and yourself once you leave! It is not an infestation of ticks, but you may find one.... Also - this is a 2 acre yard and I have 5 dogs. We try our absolute hardest to pick up every bit of poop in the yard, but we sometimes miss some. If you have a "poop eater" and this is a huge concern for you, be aware. We do live next to train tracks, so it may pass when you are visiting. If your pup is sound sensitive, this may not be the spot for you, as I have not quite figured out the schedule - we don’t even notice it anymore ;)

Please be sure to close the gate when you come in and when you leave. The house is near a busy road, so you want to ensure your dog is safe while visiting and my dogs are safe once you leave! Please be sure you have booked the pool if you plan to use it. It is an extra and not automatically included in the use of the yard. If you book the pool, it must be booked for at least as long as you have booked the yard - the yard reservation is what blocks the calendar. (e.g. If you want to use the pool for 1 hr, you must also book the yard for one hour). Message us if you have questions. Please do not allow dogs on the pool furniture. Unfortunately, our chair cushions are being torn, so we have to add more rules. Please do not prop the pool fence open. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME! Sometimes we have a very limited window between visits and we have our dogs outside to potty. My dogs will not be friendly to strange dog(s) and person(s) walking into their yard. There are ducks in a pen in the yard. Any aggression towards the ducks will result in being asked to leave. The ducks will be in a coop that is "critter proof" and surrounded by an approximate 4ft fence made from wood and hardware cloth as an additional barrier during your visits. Please, please do not allow your dog to urinate on anything "man made" that I will have to pick up later - chairs, tables, pots, planters, etc. Basically, if you would not want your dog to pee on it at your house, please do not allow it here.

I know what it’s like to have a need for your dogs to be off leash, happily running free, but in a space without other, unknown dogs (or people)! Sometimes you’ve got a reactive pup, a dog who is in training, or just an elderly pup looking to gently romp. We are an animal loving family who wants your pup to have whatever they need to be happy and healthy and for you to enjoy their company. We’ve got a fully fenced in space for you to enjoy with your dog(s). One side of the space is our house exterior wall, two sides are 6 foot vinyl fencing with no visual distractions and one side is made up of 6 foot metal dog kennel panels which look out onto the rest of our family yard. There’s a hammock, and patio furniture that you are welcome to use. Sunscreen and bug spray provided as well. Our house is on .22 acres of land, with our backyard completely fenced in! Our yard gets some sunshine but also some shade from the trees lining the back of the yard, so it’s great for those warm summer days! There’s a bit of a slope to walk down into the yard, so just be aware as you enter through the gate! Your pups will love to run around the yard, while you get to sit and relax on the patio at the table and chairs! We have a bucket of dog toys for your pup to enjoy! There’s a space with dirt and sand, feel free to let your pup dig through- we don’t mind! During the warmer months you can enjoy a kiddie pool (for a small fee) or just the mist setting on the hose to cool off. Please note we do not provide towels so be sure to bring your own if you want to enjoy these amenities! If you’d like to rent at night, our patio is lit up by string lights, and we have additional motion sensor lights placed around the fence in the yard, so it’s perfect for a late night play session! We are located next to the highway, so there is some noise from traffic. Overall not very loud but occasionally there is some elevated noise levels with trucks, motorcycles, etc. Our yard is sprayed every 3 weeks for ticks and mosquitos, but there is still bug spray available to use if ever needed! We hope you enjoy!!
