55Great Spot! My dogs had a fun time chasing their balls and sniffing throughout the wooded area. The whole left side is fenced but the whole right side is not and there is a private road that parallels the area. When we started to walk from the left, and really swampy side, to the right side of the woods, people were walking down the road and a car did also so good to keep this in mind. I can see there might be a potential for fearful or reactive dogs to go after someone walking down the road or go after a car so dogs with good recall will not have an issue.
55We had a really good time!!! Lots of space to sniff and run. The property is large and it appears mostly unfenced. Virgil sticks close so we didn’t have to worry when we were by the road (very low traffic on a Saturday, just Amazon and a neighbor or two driving by) or when a neighbor walked by. The hosts are really nice, too!
55My pup had such a great time here! The host is very kind and met with me beforehand to give me a layout of the property. There is a hill to go down to get to the woodsy area/trail. There were 2 separate ponds on the left side that my pup enjoyed. There was a deer when we first got there. Very quiet area. The right side of the property isn’t fenced and is a road. During our time there only one family and their dog that walked by. I kept my pup on a leash just in case whenever we passed this area. We will definitely be back!
55Very nice Sniffspot - pretty with plenty of trees and underbrush to explore, with very walkable trails. As the listing describes, there is a side of the property that borders a road. It’s a quiet country road and I didn’t see much traffic. Nevertheless I did keep my doggo on a long lead most of the time, except when we were on the other (fenced) side of the property. Shari is a very communicative and hospitable host too.
55This place is a nice secluded play area with plenty of trails through the woods. My dog loved exploring and running around in the back! The hosts are very friendly, and there is water and a chuck-it available for use.
55My dog LOVED this spot. A terrier’s paradise for sure. Lots of places to jump and climb and sniff and burrow. She did come home with quite a few scratches and thorns, (lots of brambles and branches on the ground) but I think she hardly noticed because she was having such a good time. But definitely something to make note of if your dog is more sensitive to things like that.
55Lovely place!
55A very well laid out sniffspot! It's essentially a large loop with a portion that borders the road. I leashed up whenever we walked by for safety but spent most of the time by the swamp. My lab loved it obviously :)
55Beautiful space, well kept and great host! Will visit again.
55Wonderful spot with a warm and welcoming host. We’ll be back!

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries! Toss garbage away at the top driveway as you exit in the large gray bin marked "Garbage".
