55I saw the side entrance to the backyard and instantly knew this will be my favorite Sniffspot for I can drive my Tahoe into the backyard and close the gate and don't have to worry about my huskies getting loose. I have three huskies and one husky is blind so I need to give him extra attention in getting into and out of my Tahoe with a hitch step. The backyard is large but not too large to keep an eye on the pack. There's a nice decking area for shade and rain. Under the decking area there's table and chairs for the human to rest and relax. Water spigot is available to provide drinking water. The neighbor has a small dog that loves to play and kept my huskies busy throughout our visit. The 4 ft fencing along with that neighbor yard you need to keep an eye out if your dog likes to dig. The bottom of the fence is loose and can be easily dig through if you are not watching.
55Great yard for the pup to run around in!
55Great backyard
55Nice yard for my dog to run, my dog had a great time.
55Beautiful spot for dogs! The neighbor is super friendly and has a puppy that loves to run the fence line who is super sweet!
55Beautiful and spacious backyard that you can tell is very much loved and cared for! Next door neighbor was outside working and their little terrier showed up to say hi (before he got spooked by my horse of a dog 😅). They ran back and forth along the fence line just fine which gave my Dane a nice workout! Pupper was spent and happy by the end, perfect for the short drive to a self dog wash 😄 thank you so much for sharing your lovely space and the fun times!
55Thanks for another great time!
55Nice big yard with secure fencing. There was a well-behaved small dog along one of the fence lines which was a great training moment for my pup as she works on greeting manners.
55Very nice yard for my pups to play it. The yard was clean and the fence was secure. Will be returning.
55The yard was clean, large and easy for my dog to run across the entire space playing. There was a dog that came out next door to run the fence line a bit, so be aware of that possibility. Really a great spot!

Description

The yard has a variety of terrains for your pup to explore. There’s grass, bark, gravel, concrete and large rocks. In the wet months, the back of the yard can also get a bit muddy as well. There are some dirt patches from a mole issue we had over the summer. During the spring/summer time, we do have garden snakes that come out but they are totally harmless. It’s a very quiet neighborhood and you may see our neighbors and their dog outside in their yard but they shouldn’t disturb you. I also have housemates that you may see on occasion in the front yard but they also won’t be a disruption to your visit. There is a covered area with a table/chairs to keep you out of the rain or sun while still being able to watch your dog in the yard. We hope that it feels like hanging out with your dog in your own backyard. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! Thank you for considering Puppy’s Enchanted Wonderland.

Cleanliness

97% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There are a couple of tubes in the ground towards the back of the yard, just be sure to watch your step. During the spring/summer time, we do have garden snakes that come out but they are totally harmless.

Wonderlane

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. A garbage container for poo bags is available at the top driveway as you exit under the Big Leaf Maple tree on the right in the large gray bin marked "Garbage". We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries!
