My backyard is on the east side of the house so it has lots of afternoon evening shade. It is fully fenced with a 6 foot privacy fence. There is a patio off the back door and a sitting area, I have two kitty pools available and a hose for the dogs to enjoy, I have wire mesh install installed on the bottom of the fence and around the porch to prevent animals from getting stuck or trapped. My gate is next to the house and there is a trashcan available.

We have a lovely, park-like backyard on about an acre near 51st and Lewis. We love letting our friends and family bring their dogs to run and would love to see more dogs enjoy it! Note for dogs who are big jumpers: there are a couple of sagging spots on the east side chain link fence, so a very determined dog could potentially get over into the next yard. It has not been an issue, but please be aware.

While everyone is friendly, neighboring dogs may occasionally bark or run along the fence line, so this spot may not be the best fit for dogs who are highly reactive or easily stressed by nearby animals. We also have a resident cat, Kramer, who will remain safely indoors with advance notice of bookings (12 hours on weekdays / 2 hours on weekends). One of the highlights of the property is our beautiful 1-acre pond, which your dog is welcome to enjoy. Whether they love splashing in the water or simply exploring new scents, there’s plenty of room to burn off energy. Please note that the area immediately surrounding our home is private and is not included in your reservation. The accessible portion of the property is separate from our house to give you and your pup plenty of space. The property has barbed wire fencing around the perimeter, but it is not a secure fenced-in area. The fencing should not be relied upon to contain dogs. For your dog’s safety, we recommend keeping dogs on a long line if they are prone to wandering. If you’re looking for a quiet, rural spot where your dog can enjoy nature, open space, and pond access away from busy parks, we’d love to host you!
