    Good spot

Great spot for my dog to run around off leash!

Kristen's Sniffspot was amazing! The yard was clean and there's a tall grassy field-like area on a lower level, then a green grassy area on the higher level. The upper level has a couch to lounge on, a patio cover in case it rains ;p, a garbage can for the little *uh hum*, "doggie bags" you bring, and even some doggie toys, including a chuckit! There's also a doggie/human Frisbee to practice disc/Frisbee golf with! Our game involved getting the Frisbee in the basket before the dog gets it! :D Kristen was great. Very cordial, responsive and flexible. The upper level is by the house and there are windows, but we didn't really see anyone through them for most of the visit. A great Sniffspot all around! Thanks Kristen!

Such perfect variety within a spot! Some woodland, some lawn, toys & seating & a trash can and all. We love this spot!

  • Sarah K., Nov 19, 2023

This spot has a small yard section and a larger wooded spot behind it. This was great for practicing recall with my young puppy and giving her a little practice spot for future wooded hikes!

There is Large flat lawn near house. Benches , trash can and dog toys are near the house. The wooded area is sloped and my dog was happy running around and exploring.

Awesome, private yard! Our girl loved running laps around the spacious area and diving into all the leaves.

  • Dana F., Nov 18, 2023

We really enjoyed the combination of a flat, grassy play area and a wooded, hilly trail for excellent sniffing. Parking space and entrance are well-marked. Entrance is close to parking and fencing is very secure!

    Very great location!

Great spot for the pups to run around! Love that it’s open late!

Magical Mossy Forest

Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot is a dog-tested doggy preferred Sniffspot just outside Redmond on the way to Carnation. It is also preferred by people, adults and kids alike because it has water, power, trails, picnic tables, chairs, several firepits, porta-potties, 2 swingsets, 3 Arrow Fort, a log bridge to cross over Little Ames Creek for when the creek is full, lots of picturesque moss, and many trails over 5 forested moss covered acres. Note that the creek is dry in midsummer until the fall rains kick in. Parking is near the road, separated by 100 ft of woods, so we suggest that all our doggy friends be leashed until they are walking on the trails with you. The parking area can only be located where it is to protect the ecology of Little Ames Creek. Please leash your dog until into the forest away from the parking area. Watch kids and dogs in the parking area near the road, and at Ames Creek. There is a map of the main trails in a photo on the Sniffspot site. A log bridge is used to cross Ames Creek, or you can ford it to cross into the rest of Magical Mossy Forest Sniffspot. Please pack out doggy bags with you because there is no garbage pickup here, please leave this natural location the same as you found it. If there is a downpour and you want to wait it out there is a dry shed to wait in in the parking area. Access to power helps keep your batteries charged. Please carry your own toilet paper - sorry it gets stolen so we can't promise there will be any TP, it is cleaned once a week, Let us know if you have any questions. Enjoy!
