The wet season is here! Towels and boots would be advised. ☔️ 💦 🪏 We have a shovel near the entrance so you can refill any holes your dogs dig 🪏 Our place is peaceful and fun to explore. Great for dogs of all temperaments. We have a private parking area with a double gated system to keep everyone safe. Fully fenced area with beautiful views. A great space for all dogs with all energy levels. There is a large willow tree that provides amazing cool shade during the warm months and protection from the weather during rainy months. There is some standing water in parts of the fields during rainy seasons. Please pick up after your dogs. There are fruit trees on site. Feel free to take as much as you would like for yourself, your livestock or for compost! If you loved your visit, please share your experience with family and friends! **Interesting ecological fact if you see rainbow coloring on top of some of the standing water… it is NOT from chemicals or an oil slick. Here’s the explanation. 🙂 A common naturally occurring oily sheen originates from the seed cones of cypress trees. The cones usually fall into the water below the cypress, and an obvious rainbow sheen forms on the surface around the seed pod. In puddles of woodlands or around the edges of stagnant or very slowly moving water, it is common to find sheens covering the water in and about leaves and other vegetation. It is tempting to wonder what form of pollution resulted in the sheens, but the answer is microscopic - and natural. Tiny iron-loving bacteria of many types may be involved. A common tale is that some species of bacteria that live in areas with no oxygen (anaerobic conditions) get their energy by converting Ferric Iron (Fe III) to Ferrous Iron (Fe II) (chemists call this process reduction). As the Ferrous Iron moves through the ground water, it encounters water with oxygen, chemically fuses with the oxygen (chemists call this oxidation), then precipitates (separates from the water) and floats on the surface as a colorful sheen. There are species of bacteria that may help accelerate the oxidation process, and the most common is Theobacillis ferroxidans. At times, a significant area of the water’s surface may be covered and the sheen is as reflective as a mirror, having little rainbow-effect. It

RULES 1) Please close the main gate upon arriving and before leaving. 2) No smoking or drug use on property. 3) No open flames. 4) Please pick up after your dogs. 5) Please put dog waste bags in provided containers. 6) Please be mindful of the time so as not to impede on the next guests’ visit. 7) If your dog(s) dig holes, please use the shovel provided to refill the hole. PARKING The marked entrance is located down the road, just west of the main house gate. Enter the parking area through the large livestock gate. Please close the gate once you park for the safety of your dog(s). There is some standing water in parts of the fields during rainy seasons. We have learned that most dogs find it fun to run zoomies through the water! You may want to bring a towel to dry your kiddo before getting back into your car. There are fruit trees on site. Feel free to take as much as you would like for yourself, your livestock or for compost!

We are located in the middle of wine country. This is a previous horse pasture, so the ground is uneven. Humans should not run in the field. The field is on Hwy 240, so there is traffic noise. The neighbor's fence is 40 feet away from the park's perimeter so there is no contact possible with other dogs. Bring water. I do not provide water because shared water bowls can spread many diseases. Two chairs are under the apple tree .

Happy Apple Dog Park-AKA Gus’ Park is a fully fenced yard with lawn and some bark dust and gravel. There are multiple shrubs, trees and plants for your furry companion to check out. A farm favorite are the giant oak trees which provide shade. Feel free to take a seat and watch your friend run and explore! On site we have a small dog (23lbs) and a multiple cats as well as two horses. The neighbors on both sides have dogs but there is no contact-just line of sight! We are located not too far off of I-5 and Highway 22. Our spot is a great stop if you are traveling and need to let the dogs out for a romp and a place for you to rest. There is plenty of room for trailer turn-around if needed (please message me about that.) If you are looking for a place you can eat that is near our spot, please look at The Yard Food Park.
