Description

Tamarack Tree House LLC is closing. We have enjoyed hosting you and your dogs but have found that there isn’t much demand. Thank you to those of you who came out to visit us! If you’re looking for an alternative I would highly recommend Dover Dog Run LLC. It’s a great large fenced space with everything you need and the hosts are amazing! 🐾💚🐾

HOST NOTE

Lawn is lumpy, take care when walking. Dogs that are very noise sensitive may struggle due to the proximity to town, message me- I totally get it! Woodchucks live under the sheds on either side of the yard, please scan the yard before letting your dog off-leash. There are hosta plants around the borders.

(A) Kiddie Pool10 credits

Traditional plastic kiddie pool freshly scrubbed and filled with water ahead of your visit.

(B) Treat Hunt10 credits

Watch your dog’s natural instinct as they search for 12 bite size treats in paper packets that we’ve hidden for them. Does your dog eat paper? We can hide unwrapped treats instead. Have a resource guarder? We don’t want to stress them or cause fighting. If it’s safe for your dogs, leave them in the car letting one do the hunt at a time. We can set packets aside for you to hide in between.

(C) Handmade Snuffle Ball20 credits

Snuffle Balls are a great enrichment activity and help with decompression. Place treats/kibble in the folds then give to your dog to snuffle and roll them loose. Start easy by placing treats close to the surface. Machine wash cold, tumble dry medium.

Please pick up your dog’s poop. Please watch your noise level, with neighbors so close by. Smoking and vaping are not allowed on the property. The gate must be fully latched when you leave. Water spigot is for filling drinking bowls/water bottles only.

Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway in the winter. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends and most weekdays too. Center of property tends to be wet. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals.
