Enjoyable farm fields with lots of room for dogs to roam and play. Wildlife does show up at times, anywhere from deer, turkeys, skunks and porcupines. Our main field does abut a golf course, and often get stray balls fly over the fence into our field. To avoid being hit by one, I’d recommend staying more towards the middle to right of the field. During deer season we do require the owner and dog to be wearing orange, and don’t have guests come on Saturdays. We do hay our fields in the summer (May/June-September) time, and once that begins we will set up a schedule with specific areas that can be utilized.

If you plan to use the pool please add it to your reservation by selecting it under extras. We also have fresh eggs for sale from our backyard chickens. $4 a dozen. Let me know if you’re interested and they can be left in a cooler for pick up during your visit.

River Lily Farm

Our farm is open fields, tons of trees to play hide and seek in, and lots of riverfront area for dogs to swim. There are ungroomed “walking trails” that go around the entire property. Center of property tends to be wet. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals. We will do our 100% best to ensure no person or domestic animal will bother you on your adventure here. We work in animal rescue and commit that all proceeds will go towards continuing to help abandoned, abused, and neglected pets. Thank you for enjoying our peaceful space. This property is unfenced but very private, with the peninsula providing a natural barrier and minimal outside traffic. Please note: • The access road is sand and gravel. Sturdy footwear is recommended if walking. • Recent rain can create some ruts, and the road is due for grading. • SUVs and trucks are recommended for driving down the hill. • Sedans can typically make it down as well (ours does!), but please use your best judgment based on road conditions. • Balch Lake is a shared lake, and you may see boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and dogs accompanying boaters on the water. • Sound can carry across the lake, making people or dogs seem closer than they actually are. • As with any unfenced property, please ensure your dog has reliable recall or keep them leashed based on your comfort level and your dog’s abilities.
