Welcome to the Golden Dog Playground. We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and by appointment only Monday through Thursday. Planning a special occasion or need to reserve a specific visit time outside our open hours? Message us here or call/text (603) 815-2453. The Golden Dog Playground is located on more than 5 scenic acres in Barrington, NH, with just over 1 acre of fenced-in space, the Playground was created to give dogs a safe, enriching place to simply be dogs. This private space encourages natural dog behavior through sniffing, exploring, digging, moving, observing, water play (seasonal), and confidence-building activities. It is not just a place to run — it is a thoughtfully designed environment where dogs can move at their own pace, build confidence, and enjoy off-leash freedom without the pressure of a public dog park. The Playground includes two connected fenced areas, enrichment toys, confidence-building equipment, a digging station, sensory experiences, natural fitness opportunities, seasonal water play, fresh water, clean bowls, waste bags, and easy disposal. Some dogs come to play. Some come to sniff, settle, and explore. Some need space to build confidence in a calm, controlled environment. However your dog uses the space, the goal is the same: enrichment, confidence, connection, and the simple joy of being a dog. HOST NOTE

Sturdy wire fencing encompasses the Golden Dog Playground. If your dog is very small they could possibly fit through the spaces between the gates and fences and the fence and side of our house. In addition to the entrance gate, there is an emergency exit gate as well as 3 gates, which are locked, along the back fence in the woods. There is a wood pile under the solar array where little critters like to live and hang out. Please be aware in case your dog has a high prey drive that they may be particularly interested in this area. There are so many fun things for your dogs to engage with at the Playground, including a digging station, enrichment toys, a stretching board, confidence building equipment, natural fitness stations, and more (seasonally)! **We do advise that your dog wears a harness and that you guide them on the confidence building equipment to avoid injury.** Annually, the forest area gets blown free of debris, but rocks, roots, sticks, will be visible from storms/wind. We work diligently to keep these areas clean and safe. The back lawn can be a bit uneven due to settling of loam/rocks. There are also compost bins on the property. They are enclosed but something to be aware of. There are Hosta plants and other ornamentals within the fenced-in areas (seasonal). There is a landscaped area near our porch with rocks, a fire pit, chairs and ornamentals. This area is fenced off. Please do not let your dog enter this fenced off area.

Our 36-inch plastic pool is filled with colorful balls, squeaky toys, and other fun novelties for your dog to explore. Toss in a few treats and encourage your dog to sniff, search, and nose through the balls for engaging enrichment. This option is not recommended for dogs that chew or bite plastic balls.

Our 36-inch plastic pool is filled halfway with water, colorful balls, squeaky toys, and other fun novelties for your dog to explore. It’s perfect for splashing, nosing through the balls, and enjoying playful water enrichment. This option is not recommended for dogs that chew or bite plastic balls.

A flirt pole offers numerous benefits for dogs, including increased physical activity, mental stimulation, improved impulse control, and a stronger bond with you. It simulates the natural prey drive, encourages interaction, and can be used as a training tool.

Large Splash Pool10 credits

Our large, soft-sided pool is filled about one-third full and comfortably fits 1–2 dogs for splashing, playing, or cooling off. Dogs that dig at the water should use the medium plastic pool instead. Reserve two hours for two dogs and receive the pool free! Need a larger pool for 3–4 dogs? Message us for details.

Medium Splash Pool5 credits

The medium pool is filled approximately 1/3 full and comfortably accommodates 1 dog for a relaxing cool-down. This 45" round pool is a great choice if your dog likes to dig at water since it is made of plastic. Their nails will pierce the soft sided pool.

Small Dog Toys0 credits

Is your dog under 20 lbs? If yes, they may enjoy our small dog enrichment toy bin with items that will better fit their mouth size. There are only a few toys in the bin, but we continue to add to it.

First-Time Dog Introductions (Including Playmate Finder) First-time dog introductions are permitted only for current Golden Dog members. Before arranging an introduction, we strongly encourage members to consult with one of our professional dog-training partners for guidance on safe greetings and setting both dogs up for success. Our smaller ¼-acre enclosed area is available for dogs that may benefit from a slower, more controlled introduction. Handlers are solely responsible for evaluating compatibility, supervising their dogs at all times, and ending the interaction if either dog shows signs of discomfort or stress. Golden Dog Adventure Co. does not screen dogs, supervise introductions, or guarantee compatibility or safety. All Sniffspot rules and waivers apply. Questions? Fully fenced in approximately two acres. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately five times around the property perimeter equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, sand/digging areas, pools and agility equipment in a large, fenced area for you and your dog to romp around. Main entrance to the yard can be found by entering the second driveway and parking in the designated parking area in front of the solar barn. We do not plow that driveway in the winter as it’s just gravel. So, feel free to park at the bottom of my driveway and walk to the SS gate if you’re not comfortable using the SS driveway in the winter. We ask that you please adhere to our 24 hour notice when changing or canceling a reservation. We are always fully booked on weekends and most weekdays too.
