55We had a great time exploring and my dog Archie loved that he could run around and not have to stress about other dogs. We’ll definitely be back!
55We always have a great time exploring here!
55Lots of space to explore and very quiet! Highly recommend!
55A delight, as always, even in the cold weather!
55I don’t know what else to say other than W O W. First you are greeted by an incredibly friendly host, Lindsey gives you the lay of the land but the layout is pretty self explanatory and there’s SO much room to explore. We will most definitely be frequenting this spot, we can’t wait for the summer!
55Such a wonderful open spots for pups to romp! Instructions were clear, hosts were friendly, and there was PLENTY of space for our dogs to run and sniff and explore. We will certainly be back!
55The farm was absolutely perfect for our walk- completely quiet and private. The roads are all far enough away I felt totally safe with my dog off leash. I'd like to go back a few times so I can better learn the paths and trails because there was probably a lot more I didn't explore. Would recommend if you have a dog with good recall but you want a private place for them to get some great exercise.
55What a beautiful place! The property is peaceful, spacious and gorgeous; you can walk along the river and see if the beavers are out or perhaps get a view of the horses grazing in the adjacent yard. Lindsey, the host, could not be more lovely or helpful. Our rescue loved it! We will return!
55Beautiful spot with lots to explore! Lindsey was great, responding right away to my note about my reactive pup. Highly recommend this spot!
55Beautiful location with so much to explore. I’m pretty sure the dogs had the best day ever.

Description

Our farm is open fields, lots of riverfront area for dogs to swim, and in the summer grab some vegetables at the farm stand. There are ungroomed walking trails that go around the entire property. Center of property tends to be wet. There are a couple other dogs on site but they’re far away at the front farm house, very old and won’t bother you. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals. We will do our 100% best to ensure no person or domestic animal will bother you on your adventure here. We work in animal rescue and commit that all proceeds will go towards continuing to help abandoned, abused, and neglected pets. Thank you for enjoying our peaceful space. Bring your boots and bug spray! :)

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

On the complete opposite side of the farm from where you’ll begin your journey- about 50+ acres away; There are two elderly dogs VERY rarely leave the driveway. They are harmless and will stay out of your way; you likely will not see them. The neighbors, also on opposite side of the farm, have chickens that sometimes wander onto our property. This is a working farm so on some days in the summer there are tractors running and people picking vegetables in the field. If this is a concern message us and we will direct you to where to go to keep safe. With close to 90 acres of land, we can make sure you get the space you and your furry friend need away from everyone.

We believe dogs are family so we have worked hard to create a customized experience for you and your furry family that you will remember forever. We offer two separate fenced-in areas that connect. Are you looking to expose/introduce two dogs in a safe and welcoming environment where you can monitor their body language and temperament? If yes, then our space is perfect. Each dog can have their own fenced-in area to play and observe or open the gate and connect the two spaces for your dogs to explore all that we have to offer. Included with other amenities, we offer confidence building equipment, a digging station, stretching board, pools for water (seasonal) and sensory play, enrichment toys, natural fitness stations and more! Have a special request or need? Let us know. We are happy to accommodate if we are able! Clean water bowls are also offered as well as a sink to easily refill and wash your hands or a toy as needed (seasonal). When done playing with the toys, simply leave them in the bucket provided for cleaning and sanitation for the next furry friend. On the back side of the house is a hose and sprayer as well as dry towels inside the bench (seasonal). Feel free to dry your dog off after splashing in the pool and wipe their feet before they hop back in your car. Simply leave the used towel on the bench and we will pick up. Waste pick up is simple and easy with the pooper scoopers and rakes we offer for disposing in our Doggie Dooley Septic Systems (seasonal). In cold weather, and year round, you will also find poop bags in our mailbox located just inside the entry gate. Please pick up and dispose of waste in the garbage pail found near the mailbox. We can't wait to welcome you to our Golden Dog Playground - an oasis set among the woods with distance from the road and neighbors.
