I have a fully fenced backyard with fencing around the entire perimeter (about three feet high). It works well for most medium to large dogs, but may not be ideal for very small dogs due to the fence height. At this time, I’m not aware of any pets in the neighboring yards.

Our yard provides plenty of shade and sun. Several seating options throughout the length of the yard. A giant storage box filled with dog toys. Balls: soccer, basketball, and tennis. The Red Door Salt Creek Sanctuary - Fully Fenced 1/2 Acre

Fall/Winter update: the yard is DARK after 5pm. Hose is off for winterization, so please bring water. Our 1/2 acre fully fenced dog-friendly yard is here to host your special furry friends. We live a short, straight-shot drive from Chicago and are butt-up against the beautiful Salt Creek (and all the wild life that also calls the creek "home" - bunnies, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, garden snakes (harmless, but present in May), etc.). The head of Salt Creek Trail is located just a block away on Thomas Street, so feel free to explore the creek/trail after your yard time. It leads all the way to Villa Park, where you can catch the Prairie Path / Great Western Trail. You'll pass by MORE Brewing Company as well as outdoor bar and food trucks Fuel and Creme (ice cream). Make a day of it! Please note that even though the yard IS fully fenced, it is comprised of a variety of sizes shapes ranging from 6 feet privacy, raw iron, to 4 foot chain-link, barn wood with chicken wire between the wood gaps. You know your dog's "flight risk" better than anyone, so please make smart decisions when booking our yard. Dispose of poop bags in the BLUE TOP bin (green is recycle). Finally, note that we can only host 2 dogs at a time due to wear and tear on the yard. Have fun!

**Jan. 25, 2026** We experienced a tragic loss today when our Chicken coop burned down and we lost our 3 beloved chickens (Taco, Sparkles & Ice Cream). I have blocked off the calendar until Feb 28 for now but will be CLOSED until we can be sure to safely welcome our furry friends back to our yard. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
